you like cute baby animals not as much as I would probably say the average person really I I just have a sense that society as a whole just goes gaga for cute animals baby animals and I just I just don’t feel like I’m there it’s like I’m missing something you said you’re never been you not one of those people that has like a calendar with kittens on it the kitten calendar okay yeah like it’s Christmastime and you see him in the kiosk in the mall like everybody’s gathered around the one would be the Katie Carol if I already go your Christmas present everything cuz I’m gonna have to give that kitten calendar to Jason I’ll take it I just want to point out the fact that I’ve been doing a little research okay and I learned that looking at pictures of cute baby animals may change you in a positive way okay so you could learn something here yes researchers at Hiroshima University this is the kind of place that I wish I hadn’t went to school because I do experiments like finding out what effect looking at baby animals has on you and what was the experiment the experiment was they got 48 people to do a Productivity task and in this case it was spotting like double digit numbers in the middle of some matrix or something like that they got him to do it and they all and they they all performed pretty evenly or whatever and then they showed one third pictures of baby animals they showed another third pictures of adult animals and they showed another third pictures of food and then they retested them and the people who saw the pictures of baby animals were very much more productive they were very much better at doing the task once again it says basically looking at pictures of cute baby animals makes you better at performing careful tasks okay you need to be careful and you need to be productive I’m sensing some bias in this study already because I just I just get to says there’s some scientists at this university who their boss walked in a couple of times and they were just enamored with cute animals on the internet to the point where they were they were the ones who were gonna be fired unless they came up with some buzz is enhancing my productivity hmm so that’s your theory well but now what are we gonna do we’re gonna test it we’re gonna we’re gonna debunk it or we’re gonna prove it well you know that’s what it comes down it comes down to us being able to do the experiment is that what this is well I think maybe this could just enhance our lives and also things that maybe we can either support or refute the experiment of course now there’s only two of us well what we’re going we do have some stackable checkers is it we have we basically created a Productivity test there going to do using checkers of different sizes and we call this seeing how cute baby animal pictures make us more productive okay so here’s how this is going to work we have small checkers and we have large checkers and link we are going to take two checkers you pick up these two checkers you set them down these are like poker chips for babies or something just returning your kids to gamble at a young age big checkers and then you put one checker on top of that one and then you take another to put it on the top and then you put another one up here and it’s how many how high we can build it is any layers we can get in 30 seconds you can only use one hand and this involves I mean fault some coordination the ability to be productive and we have both practiced this for the same amount of time so there’s we neither one of us have any clear advantage just so you if you’re worrying about that you scientists people out there so let’s go for the first 30 seconds and see what we can do ready in 3 2 1 go I’m so shaky like this game makes me nervous because I’ve these challenges that I need any edge up and I’m not afraid to admit it so here we go number one oh I got I just got a cat it looks like it might pounce on me I can’t look so cute it must have been photoshopped okay now the next one Duke oh my dog looks a little threatening still when I see cute animals I talk like baby please don’t do that because I feel like you’re having an effect on the way that I’m interpreting the animal adult pictures next one oh yeah now that is cute I’m losing the baby talk I don’t want to influence you this mine’s not cute I mean it’s awesome you know what inspires all I’m scared of it it looks like it walking towards me yours is a rhino right elephant next one oh no I don’t even know what this is that’s a hedgehog and mine is very cute for an adult Hedgehog okay honestly can’t imagine him being much cuter as a baby well imagine four of them on a brush what yeah that’s pretty cute what kind of brush like a paintbrush a kid it’s just a cute brush oh next one I can’t see I can’t look at it mm-hmm I’m once again threatened I’m threatened by very angry leopard oh is that what this is a leopard I believe so this is just a very exotic looking cat which I guess that’s what it is mine also has a red-headed lady in soft-focus in the background which isn’t that’s an unfair advantage she’s she’s touching the leopard which has a little element of interest and cuteness I think what it hey that’s an otter how many otters do you have one he’s very looks free to lurk he looks like he’s on duty but he’s free this kind of cute I’d hug him I would definitely okay I would want him just nuzzle against me I’ve got four in there nuzzling against each other really yep and they’re all asleep and they’re like sleeping on a bedspread in a white environment so cute perfect probably cuter than what I feel like I’m my life is just being enhanced next I think mine’s kind of cute I mean it’s a it’s a full-grown dog inside of a baby pool I mean that’s oh you got a wet dog well he he’s dry above the water I got a smiling dog who’s driving a car you’re kidding well kind of it’s a puppy I think this is cute I would get in the pool with this dog and next this is actually kind of scary that’s not good what is this oh gosh she’s an owl oh that’s an owl baby yeah what are you looking at mine’s not cute at all mine is very menacing kind of gross I mean the eyes are big but it looks sold well don’t look at it for too long go to the next one okay okay now we’re back in the cute zone nothing like putting glasses on the pig mine is definitely not cute especially after I read that story about those pigs eating the pig farmer you hear about that no I’m focusing only on cuteness this is no I did not want to nestle up against this guy next one I guess I just got a cat I mean he looks emotionless its aloof like most cats are they’re very cute cute kitty would wear that with a hat you can’t has a handle I can’t has a hat doesn’t get much cuter than that okay if the people of Hiroshima University are correct link will perform better this time around better than I did before if I beat you we know that we’ve definitely proven it just think about everything except that owl fairly he was pretty scary okay here we go ready in three two one go well you seem really productive over there oh I can picture it adult animals meant menacing adult and I’m still pretty shaky but pinging glasses is the only thing keeping me going stop time I got I got one more whole thing but I still didn’t beat you but I got exactly the same amount again so looking at adult pictures of animals has no impact and looking at baby pictures helps you 50% better I need to start looking at more baby animal photos and you should too you people are well you know I think the real world application on this is everyone should have a baby animal screensaver everyone should have a baby in like wallpaper on your wallpaper on your phone everybody should maybe get their friends in their life to wear a baby animal t-shirts why did you want that for me I would like I will wear a baby animal t-shirts around you if you’ll wear them around me that way I can talk to the t-shirt instead of talking to you think about how productive we would be if we just let’s do you like a kitten wallpaper in here that’s a good let’s make Jason dressed up like a baby animal but let’s not let’s not I think I think that’s a bad idea but I made me flashcards I can just go periodically throughout the day I could just do baby baby animal flashcards and they can’t have multiplication tables on the backside so you could learn your multiplication K 7 times 7 is 49 I don’t know if we proved anything it was a little bit fun it was actually pretty nerve-wracking so I’m glad it’s over act like
