GMM 1793: Spot The Fake Food Challenge

Which of these foods is not like the other. – Let’s talk about that. (upbeat electronic music) Good Mythical Morning! – You know in the old cartoons when there was a character who was really hungry and sometimes they would visualize a non-food item as food? – Yeah. – I’m like that, sometimes I look at the leather couch in our office and I visualize the cushions as hot buttered buns. – That’s called forbidden snacks on Reddit. Have you tasted our couch? – I’ve thought about, but of course not, because it’s important not to eat food that’s not food. I mean, of course we know that. I mean, it’s not like we had to take down an entire episode because we did that before or anything. It’s time for, which food is real and which is fake? Like this baguette for example, oh wait, that’s a snake! – All right, so we’re gonna find out who’s more easily fooled by fake foods. We’re gonna be shown a series of grids made up of nine zoomed in photos. Eight are extreme close-ups of the same type of food, but there’s a ninth one hidden somewhere in there that is actually NSFM. Not safe for mouth holes. Meaning, it ain’t food at all. – And whoever buzzes in first using their squeaky food (toys squeaking) will have the chance to guess which square they think is the fake food. If you guess wrong, you’re gonna be locked out and the other guy gets a chance to guess the correct answer. But if he also can’t figure it out, we both lose the round and then the loser or losers of each round will have to put on some sort of fake accessory and wear it for the entirety of the episode. Now, whoever looks the most ridiculous at the end, meaning whoever has the most fake accessories on will be officially the biggest fake boob on YouTube. – You know what, we got a great team, the Mythical crew, the invent games just so we can play them. – Play them! – And you can play along, right, Stevie? Can they play along? – [Stevie] That’s correct. – They’re allowed, you’re allowed. – [Stevie] My questions will also be for them. – All right. – [Stevie] Okay, first up we’ve got eight pictures of soft, fluffy marshmallows. One square might be as soft as a marshmallow, but sure wouldn’t take like it. Which square does not feature a marshmallow? Let’s see them. (toy squeaks) – Oh, you beat me. – I’m gonna go with four. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re correct. – [Rhett] Gosh, that’s a marshmallow! – Nope, that was a marshmallow, just one fluffy marshmallow. – I was gonna say it was a toilet paper roll. – [Stevie] Okay, Rhett, you’re locked out. Link, go ahead. (toy squeaks) – [Link] I’m gonna go with six. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re correct. – No, it’s more marshmallows! – That’s a bunch of marshmallows. – Dang, this is tough! Was it eight? – [Stevie] All right, guys, that means that you both lost. So you both have to wear a fake thing. – Oh, fake fingernails. – [Stevie] So I’m gonna let you in on which square it is, but I’m not gonna tell you what it is, see if you can guess. It’s square number two. – [Link] I think that’s like a microscopic shot of toilet paper. – I think it’s like the beard of a Santa figurine. – [Stevie] Okay, let’s see what it really is. – [Rhett] Oh, a heron? – Egret, yeah. – A white bird. – [Stevie] So you both have to dawn fake nails as your punishment. – Your hand looks beautiful. – Yes, mine too. – I said yours does. – Yes, I also think mine do. – You’re supposed to give me the compliment back, man. – Your hand looks like you’re copying mine. I know what’s up. Oh, it’s gonna make it hard to buzz in. – [Stevie] Next, we’ve got some delicious pictures of mac and cheese. But which photo is not mac and cheese, let’s see. – There’s a lot of holes that are throwing me off. (toy squeaks) Okay, I mean– I hope one of these isn’t somebody’s ear hole. I think six. What is that nasty, sand spur thing? – There’s something else going on. – I’ma have to go with six. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re right. – [Link] Oh, it was a little bit of parsley or something? – [Rhett] That’s some fancy mac and cheese. – That is a high-res mac and cheese. Dang. – [Rhett] All right, I’m gonna go with four. (toy squeaks) – [Link] Why? – I’m going with it because I feel like the surface could be something else that’s glazy-ish but not mac and cheese. I don’t see any evidence of noodles. – [Stevie] Okay, but I may remind you before I let you go with four, that the image that you’re looking for is not edible, so if you think it’s a glazy surface of something else edible, that’s not a good way to go. – Okay, I’ll go with nine. – Stevie’s basically telling you to change your answer, which doesn’t sit well with me. – I’m gonna go with nine. – [Stevie] I just wanna see both of you succeed. – I’m going with nine because it looks definitively different and non-glistening. – [Stevie] Okay, I will say that you’re correct with going with nine, but for a real prize, can you guess what that actually is? – [Rhett] It’s some sort of grid-ish. – [Link] Is this Twinkle Fingers working on this? – [Stevie] Mm-hmm. – [Link] Mm-hmm. – [Rhett] It looks like a close-up of like a thatched roof. (Stevie laughs) – [Stevie] That’s a good guess. – Like a hut. – A hut. It’s a hut. – Like, an island hut. – [Stevie] Let’s see what it actually is. – I would say a pineapple. – Oh, it’s beaver teeth. – Beaver teeth! And look, that beaver’s probably about this big. – Oh, you’re going back to your beaver size thing? – Yeah. (toy squeaks) – That beaver could be up to 71 pounds, based on my recollections. – [Stevie] Okay, so Link we have to give you something fake. – Teeth. – [Stevie] Get it? – Quick reminder, you can get Mythical clothes over at Amazon. – You can? – Yeah, with free shipping. (crew laughs) Prime shipping. It’s logo tees, including the class GMM logo design, and more, head over the amazon.com/mythical to check that out. (toy squeaks) – Okay. This is gonna be hard for me to– – Yeah, we won’t be able to tell what your guess is, Link. – The bottom one, I’m just gonna leave it here for now. – Oh, okay. – Oh, it’s beautiful. – Okay. – [Stevie] Ay, you’re about to see a bunch of spicy meatballs. – There we go. – Or are you? Which of these squares is not meatballs? Let’s see them. – [Link] All different types of meatballs. (toy squeaks) – Okay. – Yes? – Going quick, huh? – I’m gonna go with nine again. – [Link] That’s obviously a meatball, isn’t it? – [Rhett] No, I think it could be rocks. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re correct. (buzzer buzzes) – Meatballs and some walnuts floating on sour cream, or what’s going on there? Okay, Stevie, now I know it’s hard to understand me, but listen up. In the last round, you gave Rhett two chances, when he picked the wrong one, you told him to pick again. – [Stevie] Yes, I recall. I will do the same. – I’m just pointing that out. – So you get two chances. – All right, now, so four looks like fried chicken from Panda Express. – I know which one it is now. – It’s either eight or three. Three looks like– Is it an edible thing that’s not meatballs? – [Stevie] No. – You get two chances. – [Stevie] No, again, this is not food. You’re looking for the one that’s not food and let me tell you, (toy squeaks) this one, you really wouldn’t wanna put in your mouth. – Yeah. – Oh, it’s poop, isn’t it? I’ma go with eight. – [Rhett] Yeah, elephant dung, isn’t it? – [Stevie] I mean, you’re both– You picked the correct square and you also picked the thing that it was, so let’s see. – That means I get the points. Oh! Dang, that’s gross. – Yeah, as soon as I saw the wrong one, I saw the right now, and was like, that’s gotta be some poopa-doopa. – [Stevie] Yep, that means that Link, you get a real prize. – Oh yeah? “Turning the Tables: “From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again”, Teresa Giudice. Giudice? Giudeecha? (crew laughs) – Okay, here we are, settling in. – Let’s see another one. – [Stevie] Now coming up, we’ve got a whole bunch of fried chicken, but one of these squares features something that you shouldn’t fry at all. So which square is not fried chicken? Here we go. (toy squeaks) – Oh, dang, son. – Rhett? – Six. – [Link] Yeah, that could be fur. Well, I shouldn’t say. – [Stevie] You picked the correct square. – Oh, nice, Rhett. – [Stevie] So for the real prize, can you guess what six actually is? – [Rhett] I think it’s a microscopic image of– – You can’t zoom out on a microscopic image. – Okay, not microscopic, but super close of a dog. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re right. – Oh yeah, a poodle! – Yeah, you did it. – [Stevie] Dang, Rhett, that means you get your first real prize, and then Link, you got something fake to add to your wardrobe. – Oh, I’m a real realtor. – What do I get? A fake baby. – A Baby Bjorn. – Oh, but see, I get it now, a real housewife. – [Stevie] Yeah, and a real realtor. – Who’s your new family member? – I don’t know, I haven’t seen “The Hangover”. – Ah, I get it. – [Stevie] Okay, this next grid is full of soft, salty pretzels, but one of these squares would definitely not be sold a little league snack bar. Which square is not a soft pretzel? Three, two, one. – [Link] Oh, goodness. What? This is crazy. (toy squeaks) You’re gonna guess, go for it. – Rhett? – [Rhett] Eight. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re correct. – [Rhett] Oh, it’s a soft pretzel, dang it. – You were wrong, that looks like a pretzel. See four, that’s some salt. – [Rhett] Or is it? – All of them look like pretzels, except for, oh, I think number one, that looks like skin pores. (toy squeaks) One. – Skin pores. – [Stevie] Is that the number that you want to go with? (Rhett exclaims) – No. – You know what, I know what it is now. – I said one answer is all I’m gonna give. – I know what it is now. – And I think it’s gotta be nine. (toy squeaks) – [Stevie] Rhett, what is it? – [Rhett] Seven. – [Stevie] Okay, you’re all wrong. It’s three. Let’s see what three is. – [Rhett And Link] A cigarette! – [Link] That is an epic shot of a cigarette. – [Stevie] Okay, so you both get fake items. – What is this? Oh, eyebrows. – I already have eyebrows. – Me too. – Okay, what kind of food are we trying to not spot this time? – [Stevie] Next we’ve got a whole bunch of crushed Oreos, but one square is nothing but a Faux-reo. Which square is not an Oreo? Let’s see. – [Link] Oh, goodness. (toy squeaks) – [Rhett] Nine? – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re correct. (Rhett groans) – Oh, come on. – Oh, that was tough. That was a cross section. – Of the inside of the middle of one. – Of a Oreo. I think it’s a fake Oreo too. Shoot, I gotta go with– (toy squeaks) I’ma go with five. (Stevie groans) Five minus one is four. – Oh, God! – Four. – [Stevie] It is four. Can you guess what it is? – That is asphalt. – [Stevie] Let’s see. – I think it is. – [Link] Oh, yeah! – [Rhett] I was gonna say, it’s a road. – Thanks for the hint, Stevie. – [Stevie] Yeah, I’m not keeping track of who I’m helping. I think I’m helping both of you though, I think I am. – You got some fake eyelashes, and I got, look at that, a Real Madrid. Is that– That’s the name of the team? Ray-al Madrid. – [Stevie] Oh boy, we’re gonna hear about that in the comments. – All right, we both look stupid, but we are actually tied. – Yeah. – [Stevie] That doesn’t mean you’re not looking stupid too. Okay, finally, we’ve got the bright pink treat that everyone loves, bubblegum. But one square might give you quite a square– Scare. (laughter) – A square scare? – A square scare, the worst kind of scares. – [Stevie] Which square does not feature bubblegum? Let’s see. – [Link] Oh, my goodness. It’s anybody’s game. – [Rhett] And what could it be? – [Link] I mean, look at two. – [Rhett and Link] Two is nothing. (toy squeaks) – [Stevie] Link? – Five. – [Stevie] Let’s see if you’re correct. – No, it’s a big bubble. It’s a big bubble. – [Link] What is that? – [Stevie] It’s a piece of unchewed bubblegum. – It’s a ball of bubblegum. – Okay. All right, Rhett. – [Rhett] I believe that one of them is a body part of some kind. – [Link] Eight looks kind of wicked. – [Rhett] I think that’s chewed bubblegum. – [Link] There’s like spots on it though. – [Rhett] I’m going with three. – [Stevie] Which did you say? – Oh, I didn’t say three. I said seven. – [Stevie] That’s correct. Can you guess what it is? – [Rhett] I believe this is someone’s flesh. – [Stevie] Can you be more specific about who that someone is? – [Rhett] It is the flesh of an old lady. (Stevie laughs) – No. – [Stevie] Let’s see what it is. – [Rhett] Oh, you know what, that could be an old lady cat. – Why did you have to zoom in on that part of the skinless cat? – Yeah, Twinkie Fingies. – Twinkle Fingers. – I call him Twinkie Fingies. – [Stevie] Okay, that means Link gets another fake item. That is wicked. All right, so that’s gonna shut her down. What is this a toupee? – Yeah, put it under your awesome hat, from that football team that you love so much. (laughs) Wow. – I look great. – I’d hang out with you. – I look like a winner. – Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. – You know what time it is. – Hi, I’m Ingrid. – I’m Danielle. – I’m Aaron. – And we’re burning the midnight oil at our small town casino tonight. – [All] And it’s time to spin the Wheel of Mythicality. – Small town casino. – Nothing like a small town casino.
