GMM 2196: Are They Siblings, Strangers, Or Dating? (Game)

Can we uncover the secret lovers? – Let’s talk about that. (gentle upbeat music) Good Mythical Morning. – Now, when we’re hanging out in public, we like to be students of people and sometimes make games out of it. – Yeah. Our favorite game that we play is called “Is that a vape or nose hair trimmers?” – Yes, that’s a good one, and it gets easy when they stick the vape in their nose. It clears it up. Our second favorite game is looking at a pair of people and trying to figure out if they’re siblings or if they’re boinking. – Or both. I mean, or neither. Let’s play it today, but take incest off the table, okay? It’s time for “Are They Brothers, Lovers, or None of the Abovers? We’re Guessing How These Folks Know One Anothers.” – Welcome to the HR zone, AKA the human relations zone. – Human- – [Both] Relations. – We’re about to see mysterious pairs of people and we gotta figure out if they’re siblings, if they’re dating, or they could be total strangers. – They could be! – I love being at this podium, my fan. – (laughs) My fan. – My fan. – I’m not your fan. I’m maybe your man, but are we siblings? – My man. – Or dating? We’re allowed to ask up to two questions each per round to help us make our decision, then we can guess which kind of pair we think that they are. – Winner gets a pat on the back from a total stranger. (upbeat rock music) – [Stevie] Gentleman, please say hello to Maura and Eliza. Are Maura and Eliza’s siblings, dating, or total strangers? – Hello, Maura and Eliza. – Hi. – Hi. – Maura and Eliza? – Yeah. (Rhett laughs) – Or is it Maura and Eliza? – No, I’m Eliza. – So Eliza, what is your opinion of Maura’s mother? – She’s a good woman. She’s very nice and meek. (crew laughing) – [Rhett] Nice and meek. – She’s nice and meek, just like I like my mom. – Very smart. I have a good opinion of her. – [Rhett] Okay. – Could you each, in turn, not in unison, turn to the other and say how much you love them. Both you face each other. – One at a time, you said turn? – And yeah, one at a time. Would you like to go first? – I- (crew laughing) – This is turning into an acting exercise. – I love you. – That didn’t. Okay. – That seemed very difficult. – I love you a lot. – I love you a lot. – I love you. (crew laughing) – Okay. All right. Is this what you expected? (crew laughing) Is this what you were looking for? I feel like I’m ready to guess. I feel like I’ve gotten all the information I need. – [Stevie] Link, you ready? Want another question? – No, I don’t need another question. – [Stevie] All right. On the count of three. – Oh, we’ve got flags. – [Stevie] You got flags. – Okay. Let me see what these say. These are our three options. Just wanna let you know. I have all three options. – Yeah. Right. – Okay. – [Stevie] Okay. Here we go. Hold up your flags in three, two, one. – Siblings. – Strangers. – Strangers? What made you say that? – I wanted to say siblings and I’ve been wanting to say siblings, but I feel like the fact that if you look in their eyes, it’s like, oh, they’re definitely sisters. They’re blood related. But then I don’t know. The more that, when they started telling each other that they loved each other, it felt very- – Weird. – Cold. (Rhett and crew laughing) – But I think that’s how most siblings are. It’s like, sadly, there’s more siblings who don’t know how to look into their- – [Rhett] Yeah. – Sibling’s eyes and say, “I love you.” – You’re right about that. Siblings are great. I was on the fence, man. – Look into my eyes and say that you love me. – [Link] See? – I love you. – I love you. – [Stevie] All right, Maura and Eliza, do you wanna let Rhett and Link know what your relationship is? – [Both] We are siblings. – Yes! But you hate each other? (crew laughing) – No, I think we sort of like lost the thread of the exercise. (Rhett laughing) But I do love you. – You fell out of sibling love with each other during my exercise. – Yeah, you inspired us to get confused about our relationship. – [Stevie] But guys, there is a bonus point up for grabs this round because Maura and Eliza are siblings- – Caucasian! (crew laughing) – That’s right. – All right. – Got it! – I think you should be deducted a point for that. – [Stevie] They’re siblings with someone on the Mythical crew. Can you guess who that is? – Oh. – Oh, my goodness. – Oh, I had it! – [Link] Hold on. – [Rhett] Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I had it. – [Stevie] Clue? – I have it. I have it. – [Stevie] Okay. You want a three, two, one? – [Rhett And Link] Yeah. – [Stevie] Three, two, one. – Maisie! – Silaine. – [Rhett] Boom! – [Stevie] Rhett, you’re correct. – You look like Maisie. – I know, I do. From here up, yeah. – Maisie, are you here? Come out here. Let’s bring Maisie out! (crew applauding) – Yeah, look. See? – Come be in the middle. – [Link] And tell them how much you love them. – [All] I love you. – Wow. It feels very like they’re they’re aliens that have never. You know? The way that, wow. – You don’t have to wear the same shirt as me. (Rhett laughing) (upbeat rock music) – [Stevie] Okay, guys. Say hello to our next duo, Amanda and Phillip. Are Amanda and Phillip siblings, dating, or total strangers? – Hey guys. – [Amanda] Hi! – You you doing okay today? – Yeah. – Great. – How are you guys doing? – We’re doing great. – I like you guys. I like how your outfits compliment each other. – Yeah. – Thank you. – If you were to surprise the other person with a vacation. Like a weekend getaway. Where would you take the other person? – Santa Barbara. – Oh. Santa Barbara. – [Phillip] Yeah. – That came quick. – I would take him to San Diego. – Okay. I need you to look at each other and tell each other why. – [Rhett] What? – You wanna go first? – Yeah, absolutely. – Okay. – Santa Barbara, the seals, the ocean. Good food, good wine. You’d love it. – I would take you to San Diego because the zoo. – Wow, okay. All right. I mean, if they’re not dating, maybe they’ll start. – And if they are related, maybe they’ll stop. (crew laughing) – Amanda. – Yes? – What does Phillips sleep in? – He’s usually a t-shirt and boxer kind of guy. Not like boxer briefs, but the loose boxers that you get a Target. – Target boxers, huh? – [Amanda] Classy. – Amanda. – [Rhett] What does Amanda sleep in? – You gotta say what Amanda sleeps. – She Winnie the Poohs it. (Rhett laughing) – [Rhett] Wow. Really? – Yeah. – Okay. I feel like I’ve got all I need. I’m open to any additional questioning, though. – One more question. Amanda and Phillip, can you each start a sentence and then have the other one finish it? – Today, I woke up and I went to the… – Coffee shop on La Brea. – I mean, that’s a… – That didn’t tell me anything, Phillip. – Plausible situation. – You start a question. Well, you start a sentence. – Okay. – Phillip, but start it with, “If you think,” and then Amanda, you still have to finish it. – If you think that me or one of my brothers got into a fight, who would win? – Oh, you, definitely. – [Rhett] Did that help you? – If she knows the brothers because she’s a sister or a girlfriend. – [Rhett] Yeah. – Okay. (crew laughing) Let’s vote. Ready. – [Stevie] Here we go. Three, two, one. – They don’t know each other. – I think they’re dating. – You think they’re dating? – Yeah. – [Link] I just don’t think I felt any romantic energy there. I mean… – You might be about to eat your words. I don’t know. – [Stevie] Okay. Amanda and Phillip, please tell us, are you siblings, dating, or strangers? – [Both] We’re strangers. – Yes! But you know what? You know what? Maybe you should hang out. – [Rhett] San Diego, Santa Barbara. – I think there’s a zoo in Santa Barbara, actually. So the compromise. (upbeat rock music) – [Stevie] Let’s meet our next duo, Reyn and Alina. Are Reyn and Alina siblings, dating, or total strangers? – Now, Reyn is not a total stranger to us because Reyn is one of our Mythical interns and we have met. – We have met. – Was participating this a stipulation of internship or was this voluntary? – This is not, I can’t answer that. It’s in my NDA. – Whoa! Dang. That’s right. (laughs) And Alina, we don’t know you. This is the first time we’ve ever met. – As far as you know. We haven’t met. I’m sorry. (laughs) – Reyn. – Yes? – Could you turn to Alina and let her know just something about her that annoys you? – I don’t, I really don’t like the grinding noise that your Heelys make. It sounds like, I don’t know. People say that they hate the sound of chalk, like nails on chalkboard. I think this is like, my ninth circle of hell. (Alina laughing) – Wow. Okay. Alina, feel free to return the favor. – Feel free to demonstrate that you have Heelys. Do you actually? – Terrible. Absolutely horrible. I hate that sound. – Whoa, that is cool. – How often does that sound happen? – Very often. – Alina, could you return the favor to Reyn? – I think the most annoying thing about you is that you’re so fashionable that anywhere that I go with you, I am instantly out-classed. – That’s not an insult. – [Rhett] Oh, wow. – Doesn’t have to be. (Alina and Reyn laughing) – Wow. Okay. All right. – There’s this real tension between the two of them. (crew laughing) Man. In order to either further or eradicate this tension, I would like for you each, if you’re okay with it, and if the other person is okay with it, if you could tickle the person in the spot that you know makes some ticklish. – You have my consent to tickle me. – [Rhett] Uh-oh. (Alina laughing) – Heely away! Heely away! Okay. – That was borderline scratching. – Sorry, I got really excited. – Understandable. (crew laughing) – Now- – I’m just nervous. – Return the favor. – Are you ticklish? – [Link] Are you ticklish? – Is that a- (Reyn and Alina laughing) – Is that a yes? – Please don’t fight. – See, I learned. That moment right there is where I learned something. – Okay, I got all I need, even though I’ve been wrong every time. (Rhett and Link laughing) I’ve got all I need to make an incorrect guess again. – Awesome. – Can you imitate the laugh of Alina? (Reyn laughing) – (laughs) Wow. – My voice, I don’t have the same. – [Rhett] There’s a little skip in there. – There is. – This is a tossup for me. – This is the first time I feel you’re confident. – You’re confident? – [Stevie] Three, two, one. – Dating. – Okay, I think they’re dating, too, but I really thought they were siblings because of the way they were fighting. – [Stevie] Are you guys sure? Because one of you has a chance to pull ahead here. – I’m not changing my answer. This is where three points and I feel like- – They could have been siblings. They’re definitely not strangers. If I could see them hooking up and then they’re siblings, I’m gonna feel weird. – [Rhett] Oh, right, right. – I just don’t wanna make this weird. – [Rhett] Too late. – [Stevie] I think you’ve already done that. – So I need to say siblings to not make it weird, right? – [Rhett] Yeah, exactly. – [Stevie] Are you locked in? – [Link] Yes. Yes. Siblings. – [Stevie] Reyn and Alina, please tell us, are you siblings, dating, or strangers? – Rhett and Link. – Do you want us to like, make out? (Reyn and Alina laughing) So- – [Both] We are dating. – Yeah! You shouldn’t have changed, man. – Dang it. – (laughs) Dang it! – Now, it’s not weird, right? – [Rhett] Yeah, it’s not weird. – Do you feel weird? – I’m so confused. (crew laughing) – [Alina] That’s understandable. (upbeat rock music) – Today is a very exciting day that I’ve been personally building up to this for quite a while and my dad is very excited about this. The first episode of my dad’s new podcast. Yes, my dad’s podcast, is actually happening. It’s called, “Dispatchers from Myrtle Beach” with me. I’m the co-host. – Yes. – I’m the company-host. I’m gladly the sidekick. – You didn’t even ask me. – On “Dispatchers from Myrtle Beach.” You can be a guest sometime. Me and my dad catch up every week, every Thursday. So check it out. If you don’t like it, don’t email him at ratherbeshaggin53@aol.com because he does read all the emails. Every Thursday wherever you get your podcasts. – All right, Stevie, who do we have in this last round? – [Stevie] For our final pairing, we have Brian and Megan. Are Brian and Megan siblings, dating, or total strangers? – Okay. Wow. – Brian? – Yes? – [Link] Megan. – Hello. – [Link] Man. – Megan, anybody ever call you Me-gan? – Unfortunately, yes. – Brian and Mee-gan, I’d like for you guys to look at each other and I’d like for you to take turns comforting the other person who’s just been fired. You came home from work, been fired. So Brian, comfort Megan. – Everything happens for a reason. and I think that after this, you’ll find a much better opportunity and the window is right there and you’ll be looking out- – To a job? – To look out the window- – The window? – And to see the opportunities that are out there for you. – [Link] How many floors up? – Just the first floor. The ground floor. – Brian, let me just give you a little suggestion. – [Brian] Yeah. – Don’t ever sign up to be like, a crises counselor. – [Brian] Okay. (laughs) – Megan, can you return the favor? Brian just came home from work and he has been viciously fired. – From his job as a crisis counselor. (laughing) – Well, there’s always better things suited for you, clearly, than this, but it’s gonna be okay. And maybe you’ll do something with a little less high stakes. – [Rhett] Right. – And you’ll get to relax more and it’ll be more fun or just collect unemployment for a while and chill or yeah. Yeah, that’d be good. – She doesn’t seem to care about his level of income. – (laughs) Just do unemployment or whatever. – So that’s telling. – Okay. Brian, does Megan have any birth marks or weird moles that we can’t currently see? – I don’t believe so. A couple tattoos, but those are chosen. – Can you two, just indulge me here. I’d like for you to each grab a full imaginary glass of your favorite beverage. It’s a tall glass and I would like for you to, as newly married couples do, intertwine your arms and then drink all of the glass while looking into your partner or siblings’ eyes. – Or stranger. – Or stranger’s eyes. – What do you? I’ve never been to a wedding so I don’t know. – Rhett I’ve never been. – [Link] Look into each other’s eyes. – [Rhett] Why are you? – Oh, you do like this? – Like this? – I know how you do it. (crew laughing) Did we do it? Is that how you do it? – Now drink it. – [Megan] Oh, drinking. Okay. – No, there’s a lot. – [Rhett] Yeah. – [Link] Look in. – [Rhett] And it’s your favorite beverage. – [Link] Look at the chemistry. – Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That’s really working. – Wow. The attraction is palpable. – That’s really working. Really working. – I’m ready to vote. It’s anybody’s game because points have been escalating. – Right. Whoever gets this round takes it home. – You have another question? – No, I feel pretty confident. – [Stevie] Here we go. Three, two, one. – [Both] Siblings. – Oh. So now- – [Both] One of us has to change. – If they think. I changed last time. How certain are you? – [Rhett] I feel like I’m 90%. – [Link] They’re definitely not dating. – [Rhett] They’re either siblings or strangers. – Yeah. It’s gotta be siblings or strangers. – I’m sorry, man. I can’t, I just don’t feel like changing to strangers is the move for me. So it kind of forces you to do so in order to have a chance. – I just feel like I need to ask one sibling question, then. What about Brian annoys you the most? – He walks too fast because he has longer legs. – I do walk pretty fast. – You’re walking down the street and I look at. – [Link] I can’t change my answer. – He’s already gone. – I’m sticking with it. – [Stevie] All right. Brian and Megan, please let us know. Are you siblings, dating, or strangers? – [Both] We are dating. (Link yelling) (Rhett laughing) – Gross! Ew! Come on, guys! – It’s all right. – Then why do you guys act like brother and sister? (laughs) – Well, I also, the wedding, you know? It was like, how long, how much water’s in there? – What does that have to do with anything? – Man, that threw me. How long you been dating? – Like, four and a half? Five months? – Yeah. I don’t know, yeah. – [Rhett] Okay. – And one date in that time period? (Brian laughing) – Yeah and a half, and today. – And today, yeah. – Yeah, we gotta count today. – [Rhett] Today. Today counts. – Yeah. – Maybe you two should just be adopted in the same family. I think that will work out better. – [Megan] Sure. Who’s family? – We can switch off, you know? Like once a year. – That doesn’t work, Brian. You both have to. – [Brian] That’s true. (laughing) – Well, here’s the thing. Here’s the thing. If you guys procreate, the children will look just like you. (Brian laughing) – [Stevie] Okay. On that note, Rhett, you are the winner and you get a pat on the back by a total stranger. – Oh, hey. – Yeah, I won. (crew laughing) Well, I was gonna ask him what his name was, but then he wouldn’t me a stranger anymore. Thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. – Now, you love birds say you know what time it is. – [Both] You know what time it is! – I’m Wesley. – I’m Jose. – I’m Shelby. – And we’re at the Tennessee aquarium in Chattanooga and- – [All] It’s time to spin the Wheel of Mythicality! – Look at those Tennessee fish. – Click the top link to watch us settle your sibling rivalries in Good Mythical More. – And to find out where the Wheel of Mythicality is gonna land. – [Rhett] Join Link and his dad on their all new podcast, “Dispatchers from Myrtle Beach”. The first episode dropped today, so go check it out.
