But what do you do when you don’t have air conditioning or only boring traditional types of fans laying around? I’ll tell you what you do. – Tell ’em. – You turn to your incredibly inventive and talented Mythical crew to create unbelievable new fans using materials that no one else would ever dream of. – Yeah, and that’s what everyone should do. It’s time for- – [Rhett and Link] Will It Fan? – Welcome to the when the ish hits the fan zone! – The Mythical engineers, AKA the art department, has created a lineup of fans designed to cool us off in ways never before seen or felt until today. – First up, we got a summer treat to beat the heat. Now, you reach for a popsicle to cool your insides, but now you can cool your outsides at the same time. It’s the- – [Rhett and Link] Fansicle! – And we’re not starting it yet because we wanna get a good look at this thing. This one comes in grape, mango, and red. Jessie, what did you do? – Whoo! – [Jessie] So popsicles that you buy from the store come on very short popsicle sticks, actually. – Right. – [Jessie] So I worked with the Mythical Kitchen team to design some fun flavors and made my own popsicles on longer sticks. – So what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna turn this fan on. – Well, first- – But we gotta get hot. – We gotta work up a sweat, man. I’m not even that hot right now. – What you wanna do? Jumping jack? – I’m a jumping jack man, jumping jack flash. I mean, just go at your own pace, whatever you wanna do. I think they call these like star jumps now. – You know what? – Because people not named Jack like to jump too. – I’m gonna be hot enough. (crew laughs) All right, so I’m gonna fire this thing up. You ready? – Yes. – Okay. Activate! Isn’t that pretty? – Whoa. (chuckles) – So now, oh, oh, it’s flinging. – [Rhett] It’s giving off- – It’s flinging. Let’s turn it, let’s turn it down a little bit! – Wait, hold on. I wanna see if it cools me. – Turn it. Oh, it’s really flinging! – Turn it down a little bit. Turn it down. Oh, it makes a little pretty little thing on the thing. I mean, I’m not feeling a whole lot, Link. It feels like I’m close to something cold. I think what- – But I think it would be that way anyway. – You know what I think is happening? I think our fan is melting. – Okay, here, let me, you get a little load of it. You feeling that? – No, but I’m this close. I might as well eat it. – Lick it. Lick it, lick it. – Oh. – I think I need to get it going faster for you. Yeah, there you go. (crew laughs) Oh, that looks fun. (crew laughs) – Aha. That’s what I’ve always wanted to do as a kid. They kept telling me no for some reason. – Oh, it’s getting fast now. It’s just getting fast. It’s getting fast. (crew laughs) – Aaahhh. – Let me get in on it. – Oh, yeah, you can have all you on at this point. – I think I gotta go on- – [Link] I would lick it in a different place, I think. – I’m going on the inside. – It tastes great. It didn’t cool that well. Dude, your beard is about to go into the machine. – That hurts. (crew laughs) – All right- – Turn it off! – Let’s take her down. – [Rhett] The tip of my tongue is pretty numb. – Oh, mine too. (Rhett sighs) Like, right in the middle, I can’t feel anything. – It’s still going- – We are making quite a mess. – Very strong. Okay, well- – The problem with this is everything I think about fans is not working great for this. We didn’t get cooled off. – It doesn’t blow anything. – You gotta keep it in a freezer, and then it’s gonna melt. You gotta get an entirely new fan blade situation. – You’re gonna be going through popsicles so fast. – [Rhett and Link] Popsicles, will it fan? No. – Fanny packs aren’t just for Disney moms anymore. They’re cool again. Not that Disney moms aren’t cool. It’s kidless Disney adults that aren’t cool. But you know what can make a fanny pack even cooler? If it’s a fan-ny pack. – Oh! – See? – I get it! – Yeah, I got my fanny pack down here and then I’ve got my fan from the fanny pack coming out, and it’s made of- – [Rhett and Link] Fanny packs. – Jessie, what did you do? – [Jessie] I attached some fanny packs to a fan? (laughs) – Yeah, yeah, right, and that’s kind of what it looks like. – [Jessie] No, no, no, but the internal structure is supporting the fan weight in the fanny pack itself that the wearer wears. And then the fanny pack that creates the fan blades can also hold all of your necessities. – Oh, okay. We’ll find out what’s inside in a second. From the back, you look like a dad with a baby carrier. If I just walked up to you in the park, I wouldn’t be like, “Why does this man have a cord running from him?” That’s one thing I won’t ask. – I just care about my own coolness. – Okay, well, speaking of coolness, Link- – Fire it up. – No, you gotta heat up a little bit. I got- – Oh, yeah? – Some chicken noodle soup here. I’ll bring a spoon in a moment. – Hmm. (slurps) – Okay, spoons not necessary. – Oh, yeah. – Hmm. Okay. – Okay, I’m warm enough. – Are you warm? You don’t need- (crew laughs) – God, that’s salty. – You don’t need any cuddling to get even warmer. – I won’t deny it. – Well, I mean, I feel like I need to be in this position to experience the fan anyway. (crew laughs) – So you- – Just two guys at Disney. – This is you making me warm? – Yeah. – Okay. – How’s that? Fan me. See, I can still reach the contents of the fan. Can you turn- – It’s not- – Oh. – It’s not on yet. – How do we turn it on? Do you not turn it on? Oh, yeah, it’s here. – I don’t know. I can’t see that part. – [Rhett] Here we go, here we go. – That’s the first thing. I can’t see how to turn it on. Oh. Okay. And then- (crew laughs) – Yeah, tilt it to us. – It’s kinda, it’s hurting my FUPA a little bit. (crew laughs) – Keep that to yourself, man. Don’t tell somebody when that’s happening. – That’s good though. I’m feeling it. – It gives a little bit, it gives a little fans, like fannage. – And then look. Ooh, Rhett. – We can go all around Disney. We can ride the rides together. – And then- – [Rhett and Link] Oh! (crew laughs) – If there’s a thrust, that didn’t work. – Yeah. – But it didn’t hurt that bad because it was just fanny packs. – Let’s see what’s inside. Got a Polaroid picture of the art department with my basketball cardboard thing. – Tampons. (crew laughs) This is like a thinner tampon. – Oh. – I guess I have options. – You got some lens cleaner. – Oh, good. I got some Midol. What’s this? (crew laughs) So I’m PMS-ing? – Anything can happen. – Including menstruation. All right. – Here we are again. – I’m getting kinda cool. Am I getting cool? – Well, you look incredibly cool. I love the way you can kinda like share this with anybody. (crew laughs) Now, you’re gonna have to stay in one Disney park at a time, okay? Because once you find an outlet at Disney, you need to stick with it. – I’m kinda tethered to the plug as well. – That’s kind of what I mean. I’m talking about the cord that we plugged into the wall. So if you wanna go to like EPCOT, you’re gonna have to find a new outlet at EPCOT, an EPCOT outlet, okay? You can do it. – Is that where they sell cheap EPCOTs? (crew laughs) – So anyway, I think there’s nothing at all wrong with this. – Oh, this is great. – [Rhett] Fanny packs, will it fan? – [Rhett and Link] Yes! – Rhett, tell us about this outfit, my man. – Oh, you mean my rainforest t-shirt in sage green? If it didn’t completely just take my entire wig off, up until that point, I thought it was working great, Link. – Yeah, now it’s broken. – I feel like we damaged it. Oh, look how much hair I lost. (crew laughs) – That’s the only way I know to stop it. Hair products. – [Rhett and Link] Will it fan? No! – This last fan, or should I say fans, is inspired by the sport that has swept the nation from gym classes to retirement homes. Why not play a round or two and cool off at the same time with fickle ball? – Now, Jessie, I think when I ask you what you did, you’re probably gonna say that you took some pickleball paddles and bolted them to a fan. Is that true? – [Jessie] Yeah. – You do anything else? – [Jessie] I glued a ball in the middle. – Oh, there’s a ball in the middle. – Ooh. – Okay, so let’s start these up. – So these are our partners. – So let’s kinda position them. – Gosh, this is not dangerous at all. – And we’ll just play a good old-fashioned game of pickleball, which we’ve never played before, as a way to get started. So I’m just gonna kinda position my partner here so he’s facing the middle. – Okay. – Could you turn your partner a little bit more towards the inside so he’ll hit it back to me? Just serve me, and then I’m gonna serve your partner. – [Link] Here we go. – It was gonna hit your freaking partner, man! – I wanted it. You didn’t call it. (crew laughs) – [Rhett] Okay, here we go, here we go. – Oh! – Oh! Right on through! – Come on, man! – You suck, partner! – Open your eyes! – So I’ll serve it to you, and then you hit it into the guy. (Rhett sighs) For the first time, I actually have worked up a little bit of a sweat. Now we’ve turned the fans off. – Yeah, but I feel like we did a lot more work than our pickleball fans did. So I think, unfortunately, pickleball, will it fan? – [Rhett and Link] No. – Much to the disappointment of those of you who thought that it would, crew. – And now I think if I actually try to play pickleball, I’m just gonna be disappointed ’cause I’m not gonna be so scared. – Well, especially if you don’t have a partner who’s just sitting there going (pants).
