we have found the most startling and amazing Kickstarter campaign ever let’s talk about that hi I’m James from Savannah Georgia good mythical morning good mythical morning thank you for joining us today I’ve got a really good feeling about the episode today I think that this could this could be a landmark episode based on what happened I’ll build it up it could be larger than ourselves the sum of the parts is greater than the subtraction of the lesser evils and just the balance that’s something I’m gonna say that I think this episode is just gonna tank you know it’s gonna suck you should leave now know the structure expectations right in the middle again okay so just be here just be here like normal okay I trust that you’ve heard of Kickstarter I’m talking about websites where people have an idea or some sort of cause or something and that they want to raise money to then make it a reality but what we want to do today is is we actually what we have done is we have found a Kickstarter campaign that doesn’t have a lot of buzz but maybe isn’t awesome I think that’s gardening as an understatement startling an amazing idea and we have found that and so our idea is to harness the power of us the mythical beast collective to make something a reality that probably otherwise it wouldn’t happen because if you if you donate money specifically through Kickstarter you don’t actually give the money until they reach the goal and if they don’t reach the goal no one gives any money right so goes on fund so we thought that we could do some sort of angel investor type thing in it you know Kickstarter is great all these are great because people who otherwise couldn’t get funding can tap into passion points with other people if you love Veronica Mars you can see the movie now and otherwise it would never have happened Hashem points but it’s also featured that term I did and I’m starting to like give a seminar like a I have a IndieGoGo hotel or have an IndieGoGo campaign raising money to trademark that so what we have found is the revolutionary drug by Dino Kapadia kappa i see kappa yatta kappa tia you say Kapadia Kapadia so we found this thing first i just want to show you the video let’s just watch the video on his Kickstarter campaign past the best way to be introduced to this amazing revolutionary product the drug is a patent-pending innovation by Dino Kapadia of Frankfort Illinois his prototype has a slingshot mechanism at the top of a telescopic shaft to propel the golf ball forward and a putter head at the bottom for the Greens holding the ball in the pouch you stretch the band back upon release the ball can go forward a distance of over a hundred yards when you get to the green you use the putter head to roll the ball to the hole okay well I think that video says it all link this is amazing revolutionary it’s cool it’s something it’s a slingshot for a golf course I mean this thing has just got my name written all over it okay so I mean here’s what we’re thinking what if we could make this a reality wouldn’t that be awesome we go okay this should all say that Dino has set his goal at $2,000 and we’ll get into all that but we thought the best thing to do was to call the inventor of the drought err on the phone the guy who created the Kickstarter campaign Dino Kapadia and talk to him so all right hopefully this will work we are going to call him we’ve emailed him so he’s expecting our call I’m dialing now i’ma call him mr. course but I’ve got this back issue and then all the sudden we stumble upon the drug yeah now you know we are super excited this is link speaking we are super excited to have to have found your product and you so we want to ask you some questions about it oh I mean just first of all tell us where you are I’m in a town called Frankfort Illinois which is a southwest suburb of Chicago are you maybe about 10 or 15 different things before I came up with the dresser that you see on the on the website now tell me about the name I think I can kind of piece it together but you tell me your thought process in in naming it what’s absolutely it’s a combination of the word Rutter and putter the daughter now what about I mean did you think about primer no I took the drug di from the driver I know but what if you took the pea from the putter and the reiver from the driver primer that’s not as good do you know I think you did the right thing well anyway it stuck and its trademark oh well there you go we’re stuck we’re stuck with the gutter I learned from one of your videos read that you’re six foot seven I am he saw a research on you yeah what do you know about me I’m a point out I’m a point of interest what do you right now this is Drucker extends up to seven almost seven feet well listen I can play with the drug but this is the thing that I want to talk to you about Dino is the fact that yes I am a golfer link is not a golfer so this really speaks to my heart and I do have back issues and I am a slingshot he is he doesn’t slingshot I love slingshot I have been wanting to get out on the course and haven’t been able to but let me tell you I have a lot of personal pride and so like for instance and growing up in the McLaughlin family we would not do things like my dad would always say like you don’t need to put your bag on one of those carts you know not a golf cart but like one of those wheel carts because it you know that’s we don’t do that on McLaughlin family we put our bags on our shoulders and we walk like men and so I would be I would have to kind of overcome some personal pride issues to take the drugs out of the course I’m just being honest with you now I want to know how have you learned to just deal with being out there with a slingshot on the golf course I mean people pointing in laughing type scenario okay here’s the thing rotor is absolutely not meant for golf you know serious golfers and golf purists you guys should be looking down your nose up to it it makes golf too easy but then guys like me that’s a tag line makes golf too easy that’s a I like it you know you’re not getting your skills let’s talk about the video and then I want to talk about the $2,000 goal now in hearing your voice here you didn’t speak on camera but I’m putting it together that the voice-over guy in the video was not you all right that is exactly correct who is that that’s a guy called Tamra Bethany I founded my Craigslist in the video that you were not ever on a golf course you were actually indoors using the judder I never actually saw now I did all this at the guys house and I did it in January that was a problem there was no everywhere now okay how far how far does this thing uh how far can you slingshot a golf ball at least 100 yards okay you think about making like a drought or Excel that will go like 200 maybe 300 yards well could a guy like a rest could send it faster than of course I am as you can tell from the video I’m barely 5 foot 5 and I don’t have a lot of strength in my arm but a guy like rest could really send the balls line yeah now you set your goal at $2,000 yeah why two thousand dollars to two reasons one is easily reached secondly the materials today I Phi and the equipment that I will buy for the disabled Americans you know they’re going to help me put together the Trotters okay so basically two thousand dollars gets you the equipment you need to get your volunteers to build X amount of druthers how many how many druthers can you build with to grant 50 50 50 of them well and that’s the limit I would because what I did want is all of a sudden I going to I have to supply two thousand runners right it took are and then I got mental problems don’t want that okay here’s what we want to do you know it is you know we have a group of people we call the mythical beasts that watch this show and the stuff that we make you’re listening right now and what we want to do is we want to mobilize the mythical beast to help make the drug a reality now we there’s a there’s thousands of them out there you know a lot of them probably don’t have a whole lot of money and so we’re gonna ask you right now mythical beasts hmmm let’s help the dread er become a reality let’s make Dino’s dream come true you know the minimum pledge is a dollar at least go over there and give a dollar is that true the minimum pledge is a dollar yeah minimal is a dollar yes yes $6 standard okay now cuz here’s the thing I mean we’re you’re saying we want to help make Dino’s dream come true but even by giving $1 the magic of this whole process is that it also becomes your dream and our dream and we can see this thing happen so if 2000 P less than 2000 people gave one dollar you know I mean we had at least 50,000 people watching this in the first 48 hours this is easily attainable I mean we could we could just I see a party on the
