And welcome to the first day of our spring break, which means for the next three weeks, we will be releasing three episodes a week. Not five. We’ll be releasing episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Mm-hmm. Now, we’ve done a lot of gut checks over the course of the show, but somehow we’ve never done one of the biggest gut checks of all and one of the most exciting to me personally. Mm-hmm. There’s no better day than today to change that, Rhett. It is time for, Gut Check: All 40 McNuggets edition. Okay, boys, the Mythical crew went to our local Mickey D’s and picked up the largest single order of McNuggets money can buy. $15.19 to be exact. That’s right. A 40 piece. Your job is to try all 40 McNuggets and decide which is the best. Yes. And thank you for my scoring card. Which is, uh, little baby links sitting next to Ronald McDonald. I don’t love what’s happening over here with his arm kind of approaching 80 Links, Heney. Well, it’s better than what I got, which is just a basket of chickens. I mean. Basket of chickens. What do I, it looks like actually, what do I, how do I use, how, how do I use it? Just, um, well, it’s just get emotional support. Support, that’s all. You just have emotional support. Oh, they’re nuggets. They’re not chickens. Alright. Okay. In case you guys need a pallet cleanser today, we’ve got some cold roptan for you. Oh yeah. Our first category is McNuggets, starting with McNugget. Okay. Crunchy outer shell. Nice. The meat that I– Juicy inside. 75. 61. McNugget. Okay. A little crispier. A little less juicy. Same crispiness for me. I’m, I’m sticking with 61 for that one. 71. McNugget. Yeah. Now I’m talking, crispier. Tastier. A little bit surprising. I feel like I can taste the other nuggets that have rubbed off on it. Is that a good thing? It’s a great thing. 74. 81. McNugget. I got the handle of that one. You know how some ’em have a handle? Yeah. I like the taste of the handle. Little saw dusty on this one. No, I love it. It’s a little more bland. 45. Um. 77. McNugget. Oh, that one missed my mouth. That’s on me. This one reminds me of high school. 51. 69. No, hold on. I did. There’s some inconsistencies there. I thought about it a lot. No. Yeah, I mean, I thought about it. That’s the extent of it. McNugget. Hmm. I don’t know. That one’s just not doing it for me. 50. 40. McNugget. This is really Chickeny. That’s what I was thinking. That kind of chickeny, which is it? The name Chicken McNugget. But it kind of makes you, it kind of reminds you that it’s a chicken. Well, until you said that I was in the positive range, but now I’m at 43. 47. McNugget. Oh, what? Look at this one. I feel like I can taste the brown more than the white on this one. I like the brown more than the white. Yeah, it’s a positive thing. 80. 82. McNugget. Oh, even more brown. Is that because it was a smaller bite? 83. 79. McNugget. Yeah. Okay. Oh mm. This one reminds me of that time we went over to Centennial Campus. They were building it. That’s sort of international flare, don’t you think? A little different. It’s not that it’s spiced differently. No. And it feels the same on my mouth. Um, I kinda like it. It’s more interesting for sure. 39. 87. Hmm. McNugget. That one had a little bit of juice. Did you get some juice? Yeah, it kind of feels kinda hand cut. Yeah. Like you can imagine, the McDonald’s employee going up chicken and stamping an outlaw, a cookie cutter. Uh, yeah. I don’t know if we’re not gonna listen to you. 80. 76. McNugget. Hmm. See now this one, no air pocket. The brown and the white. Perfectly married. This is what I need from a nugget, 90. 5. And that concludes the McNuggets category. Yeah. Our next category is McNuggets. Okay. Starting with McNugget. Here we go. Ooh, that one kind of develops. It feels like it wants to be something else. by the time you finish swallowing it. It does change, doesn’t it? Like it, it became turkey, even. But I, why I’m a ham man, but I, I liked it. I’m not gonna, I, I can’t listen to you. It’s a positive thing. 78. Uh, 87. McNugget. Little cakey. Uhhuh. Like it might have been cake. Is it like a dessert nugget? I like it, but it just is so unexpected. I had to give it a 48. Yeah. I’m gonna give it a 48 too. McNugget. Okay. Mm-hmm. This one feels like it’s a little bit upset with us. 8. 11. McNugget. Yes. Oh, this one’s for children. I love it. Oh, that makes sense. I mean, this one’s for children. It’s a, it’s a simple taste. It’s not pushing anything too hard. 23. 91 for me. McNugget. Okay. Okay. Everything tastes more adult after the last nugget, I guess. I think this one is especially sophisticated though. That your mom would bring out it to halftime at the soccer game. Homemade. You know what I’m saying? Um, yeah. And homemade, they, they go bad quick. But that was the fresh one. 72. Yeah. Perfect. Okay, so starting over here with McNugget, it’s kind of run of the mill, which is good. Yeah. I’m glad it’s represented, but it doesn’t deserve topic. It’s not speed. Yeah. Yeah, let’s just, we’re gonna set that aside. Get it outta here. This is the one that almost didn’t make it in. Oh, I’m so glad it made it. Oh, I’m so glad. It wows every time. Matter of fact, I almost wanna just eat the whole nugget. This is what a McNugget should be. But if it wins, I wanna put it up there. Other than that, I’d eat the whole nugget. Okay. And I touched your arm with it now. This nugget has like main character energy. It feels like it’s trying, like it wants to be good. Right? But it actually isn’t. So we’re going, we’re gonna put this one at three. I mean, we haven’t even tasted the other one, but we haven’t even taste the agree with you. There’s no way it really comes down to this one and this one. Okay. Well I thought this was gonna be easy. Yeah, this is tough because this been nugget, it’s crunchy, it’s brown, it’s white. And this one is crunchy and brown and white too. But I just feel like there’s just a little something happening with, you know, which one, right. I agree with you. So we’re gonna put this one at number two. Mm-hmm. And so that means that McNuggets is the best. McNuggets is the winning nugget. Oh, that got me. And it shouldn’t have. All right.
