- What's the best food at Disneyland?
Let's talk about that.
(upbeat music)
-
Good mythical morning.
- Disneyland's always coming up with
some inventive new delicious treats.
You know, some people go
there only for the food.
They don't even know their rights.
- Well, that's because Disney's food game
is a huge company priority.
The new president of Disneyland just said
she wants to take the park's
food to the next level.
- Okay.
- So we're like, all right.
We felt it was our duty to retrieve
some of the most popular
Disneyland foods from now,
bring them back and rank them now.
- Now, now?
Now, now!
We're going to be ranking all of
these items from one to five,
starting with Jafar From Good,
Moa-Nah, Middy Mouse,
Gaston To Something.
(crew laughs)
And the best one will be Pocahont-Yas!
- Try this one again,
I don't know if you...
- Moa-Nah.
Moa-Nah.
- Moa-Nah.
- Moa-Nah.
- All right.
First one we got is garlic
cheesy pretzel bread
from Maurice's Treats in Fantasy Land.
We paid $8.29 for each of these.
It just looks like an eggplant
that's been through an injury.
- Well, that makes it
sound not appetizing.
If you're like me and you
didn't know who Maurice was,
Maurice is a character from
"Beauty And The Beast."
He's Belle's father.
- And was he killed by the Beast?
- [Crew Member] No, he was
taken prisoner by the Beast.
- Right.
- And tortured?
- [Crew Member] Kept in a cage,
and that's why Belle was there.
- Because he didn't, the Beast
didn't like his inventions?
- [Crew Member] Maurice
got lost in the woods
and went to the castle of the Beast
looking for a place of respite.
The Beast took not too
kindly to that, Sir.
- Oh, I feel like he kind of deserves it
if he got lost in the woods.
- I mean, you're just
going to eat a big honking
$8 piece of bread at Disney
and then get on more rides?
- Yes.
Also if you meet Gaston at the park
and ask him to flex, he will.
(crew laughs)
- Well, you're Gaston to something.
- Dude, that is good though.
Dang!
- It's not too garlicky
for it to have a lot of,
it looks like it has
a lot of garlic in it.
Hm.
- Pretzel's an incredible invention.
- It is really good.
- The skin of a pretzel.
- So they put like eggplant skin
on bread and call it a pretzel.
- How do they get skin on a pretzel?
- I don't know.
- And that's really what
makes a pretzel, is the skin.
That's a good taste.
I mean, I'm not going to disagree
with you that it's just garlic bread,
but...
- So when you get this-
- It's very good garlic bread.
- This is all you're getting.
It seems like you kind
of want something else.
- Dipping sauce?
- I'm sure you could get something else.
I mean, it's really good.
- But certainly there'll be better.
- No, I feel like it's Middy Mouse.
I hope that there's two things
that are better than this.
I believe that there are
two things better than this,
and belief is what it's
all about at Disney.
- No, no,
no.
Disney's not all about belief.
It's all about something else,
like wishes or something.
- What's the difference?
Wish in one hand and believe in the other,
and see which one fills up first.
- With what?
- I don't know, fairy dust?
(magical music)
- This is the Ronto-less wrap from
Ronto Roasters in Galaxy's Edge.
$14.49 for this big old wrap of a taco.
- Meatless taco.
- Meatless.
- Because we ranked the
ronto wrap before on the show
when we did the Star Wars:
Galaxy's Edge food taste test.
- And I remember loving it.
- But there is a debate out
there amongst Disney adults
and children of which one is better.
Now, I do remember you loving this,
and I, for some reason,
I have been told, I don't remember,
that I pushed this one
further down in the rankings,
which is odd because it's a wiener.
- Wrapped in pork.
- And I'm a big fan.
- Tastes really good.
- It's double meats.
- Still loving it, but we're
not ranking it at all today.
We're just as a side quest comparing it
to this one, which we are ranking.
It's a smoky sausage, which is so nice.
The slaw, so nice.
Nothing the same except
for the wrap though.
The ronto-less, yes,
that's Impossible sausage,
spicy kimchi slaw,
which we actually had
that in a bowl yesterday.
- Yesterday.
We try to have it every day
apparently, starting today.
- I'm trying to get kimchi into my life,
and that slaw really helped me.
So here we go again.
Also sweet pickled cucumber, grab yours.
- Come grab yours.
- Gochujang spread.
- Oh, pay no mind to the...
- I'm going to push that out to the edge.
- I'm dripping.
- To the Galaxy's Edge of my pita.
Get rid of some of this gratuitous pita.
That's weird, but I'm going for it.
- [Rhett] Well, it's
not as good as this one.
- The sausage-
- Am I wrong?
- [Link] That sausage piece is really big.
- Well, I'm not really
complaining about that.
It's just not as good.
- It's kind of a loose meat.
- You got something that's
got two real meats on it,
and you got something
that's got one fake meat.
And I'm not against fake meat,
but I just had the real meat.
- Yeah, we shouldn't
have tasted that first.
- We should have been
in Disney, really tired,
really hungry, and this would
have really hit the spot.
But that's not where we're at.
We're at a desk.
We sent KG to Disney
to get all this stuff,
and we just sit here at
our comfortable desk.
- Comfortable.
- Comfortable desk.
- It's not like a 125 degree heat index.
- Right.
It's not like there are
people being escorted out
in the midst of heat stroke because of
how hot it was when she went.
- [Link] Too much pita.
- [Rhett] We really did this thing
a disservice by having this.
- I've forgotten about that
and I'm eating this again.
- But also, let's just be real.
The Ronto wasn't even
in the original movie.
It was a CGI addition,
and it was like bad.
It was bad CGI.
And I'm holding that
against both of these.
I think that's probably why
I ranked it low last time.
- This is growing on me,
but it's still lower-
- It's not as good as that.
- Than that.
So I'm fine with putting the
Ronto-less wrap at number four.
If you want to eat this and
like it, don't eat that first.
- All right, this is a big one.
This is one that sells out
that people say you got to
be there for the rope drop
if you want to get one.
It is the breakfast chimichanga
from Ship to Shore
Marketplace in Frontierland.
It's $9.
$8.99, that's not crazy.
Anything in the single digits these days
that you can get to eat at Disneyland,
I think you're doing pretty good.
- And you're waiting,
you're there at rope drop.
People are like,
"Oh, I'm going to the Tower of Terror.
I'm going to what you call it."
- I'm here for the Chimichanga.
- I'm here for the
fried breakfast burrito.
- That's what I'm here for.
And you know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to spend the night
on Tom Sawyer's Island.
When the park closes, I'm going to find
a little place to nestle down,
and I'm going to take up
shop at Frontier Land.
That has happened.
- That way the next day I can get
a second chimichanga at rope drop.
They'll be like, "How did you
get here before everyone else?"
"Well, I slept on Tom Sawyer Island."
Eggs.
I wonder what's the
punishment for getting caught?
'Cause people have done it
and people have gotten caught.
I think it's -
- A death, execution.
I would do it.
I think it's worth the risk.
I love the idea of being in a park
when you're not supposed to be.
- Something tells me that Disneyland
is not the one you want to do it.
You know, that seems like it
would be the most difficult.
- Yeah, and they actually-
- I think you want to go do that,
what's the one that's,
the park that's named after the jelly?
- Knott's Berry Farm?
- Yeah, I think.
- [Crew Member] I thought
you meant Smucker's Land.
- You could probably do it there.
This thing's got egg, sausage,
potatoes, fried tortilla.
Doesn't really sound that special.
A deep fried breakfast burrito.
I mean, I guess it's hard
to get these anywhere else.
You thinking?
- I'm just trying to figure out why
people got so excited about it.
It's not bad.
It's not bad, but...
- It's good, but it's a deep fried
run of the mill breakfast burrito.
- It's kind of like, it's pretty
emblematic of Frontierland.
- How so?
- You know, Frontierland,
there's not anything
particularly exciting about it.
In fact, it's actually how
well it holds to tradition
that is the thing that people
are kind of buying into.
Like, I think Frontierland
is on borrowed time.
- Oh, you think it's going?
No, no,
no, what's the gold rush rollercoaster?
Thunder Mountain?
Thunder Mountain!
- Didn't they just redo Thunder Mountain?
- No, Thunder Mountain is my
favorite ride at Disneyland.
- Double Thunder, Double Thunder now?
- They didn't do anything,
it needs no updates.
It goes in tunnels, it
comes out of tunnels.
- Exactly.
Yeah, exactly.
You just built up a roller coaster
and the only thing you could come up with
was it goes in tunnels and
it comes out of tunnels.
You proved my point.
- Turn it this way.
- This chimichanga is on borrowed time.
You better go sleep on Tom
Sawyer Island every night
if you want to get one while
they're getting the good.
- So we're putting this at the bottom
just because we don't believe in the hype.
- Well, I don't...
- We're putting it at the bottom,
but the Ronto-less wrap is creative.
- It is creative.
- It does stand on its own when you
don't eat it after the meat thing.
- What did he call it, Tomorrow land?
It's so forward looking.
I could see.
You know where you look at you're
going into the ride of the future.
What do you call that thing
where you're looking at
what Walt Disney though
the future would be like?
You never see a chimichanga.
- Well that's gone too, Rhett.
- Oh, see?
But you would see something
with some kimchi slaw.
You'd see that.
That's another way to
say that I completely
agree with the placement of these two.
- I don't agree with anything he's saying
except for what we've said
already that I agree with,
which is just going down here.
- We've got a very special gift for you.
Well, it's actually not this.
It's a, well,
just watch this.
Link, Link, wake up.
Five more minutes, Mommy.
Wake up. We've been buried alive.
What?
Oh no, I'm too young to die.
I haven't become the kind of
person that reads books yet.
I haven't had a waiter tell me,
"Excellent choice."
I haven't used an escape hatch yet.
I haven't told my therapist
something that made him feel like
he needed to contact the police.
I haven't walked into a
room and had the music stop.
I haven't seen a horse throw up.
Rhett.
Look.

This is the Boo-gogi Beef Toasted Sandwich
with corn cheese soup
from the Jolly Holiday
Bakery Cafe on Main Street for $15.99.
- Link, it has Kimchi aioli.
Another way to get kimchi into your body.
- I'm liking that.
Also pickled radish, mozzarella,
grilled onions on sourdough.
And then the corn cheese soup.
I like corn, I like cheese.
- I think I'm going to
try a little dippy dip.
- This is seasonal only for Halloween.
- In the main street area.
- Hits the boo before the gogi.
- All right.
Do you know how they,
they pump popcorn and vanilla
smells into Main Street, right?
Did you hear about the
guy who found the place
where they pump it from and
he was sucking on it directly?
- (laughs) Yeah.
- Yeah, it's a Florida guy.
- He's just like a hamster?
- They just found him on a little nipple,
- Being a popcorn simp.
- And vanilla.
Going back and forth, they're
right next to each other.
- Dude, homie,
buddy.
This is good.
- That's made up.
I made it up.
- Dude, homie,
buddy made that up.
I bet you he's going to
dude homie buddy me back,
because that's that good.
Dude, homie,
buddy.
We appreciate a new level.
- See, we knew that there was some stuff
that could go over here
in the ones and the twos.
Don't you even dare...
- I mean, this is what
she was talking about,
the president, right?
- You stinker squirrely...
- Taking things to the next level.
- Butt hole.
What?
I can't remember what I called
him, so I had to change it.
- Stinker squirrely butt hole.
- Yeah.
When you did something wrong,
we got to call you a stink
or squirrely butt hole.
- That's good, man.
That's good.
Makes me want to put my mouth on a nipple.
You know what I'm saying?
The nipple that puts out the flavors.
- Only that.
- That's what I'm talking about.
- I could lose this cheesy corn soup.
But this right here?
- Did you dip?
- Good God.
Should I?
- You should dip.
You should dip.
- What am I supposed to call you
when I like something that I just made up?
- Dude homie butthole, what is it?
Buddy, dude,
homie?
Homie, buddy,
dude.
The dip is nice.
It doesn't need the dip,
but the dip is nice.
And I like the corn cheese.
- It's not a dip, it's a soup.
- Soup dip.
If you put a soup and a sandwich
on a plate for me, I'm dipping.
- Yeah, but don't call it a dip.
- Don't call it a dip.
- We're putting out information so that
the people can know what the stuff is.
And when I say Boo-gogi
Beef Toasted Sandwich
all right, that's what it called.
- Yeah, when I say,
- I'm not spreading this information.
- What I mean by that is the act
of dipping the sandwich into the soup.
Not that the soup is a dip.
And I recognize that that could be
misleading, and I apologize.
- If you're not expecting kimchi,
you might be like, what happened?
But we love it because we
need kimchi in our lives.
- Pocahont-yas!
- You're there at the park.
You need to get that gut biome kicking.
- Right.
Now, I mean,
we just preemptively
put this at number one.
I don't believe we're going to get
something better than that.
- Nothing's going to beat it.
- We're going to find out.
This right here is the seasonal Bay Max
Macaron from Lucky Fortune
Cookery in San Franciscio.
- (laughs) You don't know.
- San Francocchio Square.
- San Fran-
- Cocchio.
San Francocchio.
It's like Tokyo and
San Francisco together,
square in California.
- That's in the movie
that we haven't seen?
Big Hero Six.
- It's $8.99 for one of these cookies.
- It's very light-
- And if you turn it upside
down, it looks like a crab.
I though it was a crab, not
being particularly familiar.
- Yeah, I busted.
I busted it.
- I set you up for that.
- It is super fragile, look at that.
That's because all of the stuff
inside is still ooh, gooey.
- Oh, that macaron is toy.
- Man.
KG, how did you keep that
so beautiful right up until
the point where we ate it and ruined it.
- [KG] We had them in boxes.
Abby was clutching them
as close as she could,
and we ran to our car
before they melted, too.
- Okay, you took great care with that.
- For the $8.99 that we
paid for each of these,
I'd say $7 of it is air.
- Yeah.
- [Link] And what is this?
- [Rhett] That never stopped cotton candy.
(Rhett laughing)
- Well, it did for me.
Oh, look at how that's
where the cakey stuff.
The shell is a little too candy for me.
It's not really, I don't know.
It's like unsweet candy.
- I don't dislike it.
I like purple icing.
Purple's my favorite color this year.
- I just want this gooey
cake stuff right here.
- And I like the taste of red cake
because I kind of like knowing
that there's food coloring inside.
- Oh God, this one,
this one was pregnant.
- [Rhett] Oh, I didn't even get to that.
- [Link] Oh God.
- [Rhett] didn't even get to that.
- It had eggs.
That's in the middle, what is that?
- Oh, I got it too!
- What is that?
- Think about that.
- [Link] Caramel and caviar?
- [Rhett] We almost missed that.
- It's like a rice ball, crispy ball.
- That's good.
It's no, whatever you call this thing.
The boo-gogi.
- Oh, of course not.
I don't think it's this either.
I think we're now moving
the garlic pretzel bread up.
- I think it's better than this.
It's fun, you're at the
happiest place on earth.
You need to have a little fun.
You need to have a little red looking,
crab looking thing with purple
stuff and then a little egg-
- All of the layers.
- Egg sack in the middle
that has caramel in it.
- You need that.
All the layers are special.
- And that's how you need to
describe it to your children.
- So I really think, and
look at how well it holds up.
That thing is destroyed,
it is completely destroyed.
But I think it goes at number
three, which means boo.
Did I get you?
Gogi sandwich.
It's the best thing you can get
of the five things that we tasted.
So go there, maybe you'll see KG there,
and she'll be sweating like a banshee.
- Thanks for being your mythical best.
You know what time it is.
- Hey guys, I'm Sean.
- And I'm Sadie.
- We're at Disneyland celebrating
our one year anniversary.
- And it's time to spin
the Wheel of Mythicality.
- It doesn't look like they're too hot.
It looks like they're just enjoying
themselves in a nice 72 degrees.
- Yeah, yeah.
- Happy anniversary.
- Yeah, one year.
Keep it going.
- On this day, in 1692,
Mercy Hudson of Salem, Massachusetts,
was tried as a witch
after being seen playing
one-on-one basketball against the devil.
- Join us on Good Mythical Morning.
Watch us play Wii Sports.
