we’ve rounded up the best April Fools pranks on the internet let’s talk about that good mythical morning happy April Fool’s Day to all of you if you didn’t know that just a heads up today is the day where the pranks are flying around the internet I mean the Internet has a great sense of humor we all know that there’s lots of pranks floating around today a lot of companies and products trying to convince you that they’re launching something new I think it’s very smart marketing and a lot of well it’s just used totally expected you know people are going to pull some sort of prank on you and you’re like you don’t you don’t believe anything so yeah legitimate news story happens to the inner level that’s not true that’s an April Fool’s prank so as you are presented with these today from this year we thought it’d be a good idea to give you a resource you know we wanted to round up all of the internet’s previous April Fool’s Day pranks so that you can compare and see if you think what’s happening today is just as good as what’s happened in the past so this is our favor these are some of the notable ones of the past now you may remember last year we did something called funny baby panda kiss I don’t want to say that’s one of the best but I we did it so we got to talk about it are you lonely and over age 65 is your search for a new soulmate coming up dry maybe you don’t need a new soulmate you might just need a roommate with benefits it was the thing where you clicked on a funny baby well in case I don’t want to give it away I don’t know even know what happened and we all remember it wrote and directed the official YouTube prank from two years ago called the YouTube collection where all YouTube was on DVD that’s actually true no no it’s not but let’s start let me let me start all right go for it one of my favorite ones from 2012 done by Google Google does a lot of these pretty much every product they launched they have a April Fool’s Day prank associated with it every year a lot of them my favorite one was Google Maps in 8-bit for the Nintendo Entertainment System that wasn’t real I’m gonna come in Akito well yeah they don’t keep doing that don’t hold your order still hasn’t arrived because it’s not real I mean they really went out of their way to make this thing they basically build it you could go on the on their website and kind of play around with the 8-bit version but I would make a joke about blowing in an Internet cartridge I mean a Nintendo cartridge not an Internet cartridge what’s an Internet cartridge I don’t know your April Fool’s joke I wouldn’t make a joke about that but I don’t know what it is they already made the joke about blowing in the cartridge so there were that thorough yeah the ones that take you a couple of layers deep or the ones right I like this one from 2012 virgin launches the glass-bottom plane and that’s a–that’s an airline virgin it’s not just some virgin that did this it’s actual it’s Richard Branson’s uh airline the glass-bottom plane I I didn’t fall for this one because you can see from the picture I mean this is not how planes work you you look through the glass and you just see your luggage you know and the the watch your luggage as you fly window is not as you know it’s not as cool as the bottomless plane but I do like to pack clouds when I go on long trips so it still would have worked for me that’s the theme of my sleeping bag that I cut travel with clouds okay now I’d like to highlight what adblock did in 2011 I’m not a fan of a blog because they circumvent the way that we make money that’s right but when they launched adblock sunglasses for real life I thought that was pretty genius you know you put on the sunglasses in it blur turns out advertisements that you will just see like billboards things like that so I think is a good idea if it was really a product that I wouldn’t buy it because I wouldn’t have been able to see this or this or this in 2010 Google fooled us all Chris Google Translate for animals well they did actually I only believe this one for a couple of minutes because it tied so deeply to your personal hopes so the idea of course is that you’ve got Google Translate translate four languages well what about four animals and they launched a video where the guy goes out there with the app and listens to the animal and then it translates it new person smells good that’s amazing Missy and the people who are pet owners they jump all over this kind of thing because they like to imagine that their dogs are thinking all these intricate emotions your dog is thinking about two things it’s thinking about and one of them is food and then when you neuter him he’s only thinking about food that’s how dogs work I’m sorry he can’t even feel shame the dog can’t even feel shame that came out with that in a recent study dogs don’t feel ashamed they just look like they’re feeling shame and you just the way their eyebrows are shaved and you answered from more Popeyes your canine I’m sorry people do I look like I’m feeling shame right now yeah you look like a dog it’s just my eyebrows I don’t look like a dog all right Google in 2011 did Google motion this is basically where your webcam would it’s like that Xbox thing that the kids are playing these days yeah I heard about that but it you can compose an email just by doing all types of sign language but it wasn’t sign language it was like body language using body language to make emails basically give me an example and what did you just say I’d like to double my chocolate milk order please how is this chocolate milk yeah you got pump down there my my nipples whew chocolate milk I mean that’s how the computer understand good april fools it was a legitimately funny prank I mean if you watch it even when you know all this is a prank you get a kick out of the level of detail that they put in anything what are these Google employees they they don’t have anything to do it’s like 20% of their side 20% of their time is like innovation they just sit around and come up with pranks that’s how we make money that’s what’s so beautiful about it it’s great that’s what’s so great about Google is that they have this all just sit around and come up with pranks yeah the Creve 2011 Kodak Kodak they’re always coming up with something new could I go exist anymore this Kodak came out with a new app called relationship with several FS and this was a something you could apply to your social media all the pictures that you had put out there on social media and it would automatically remove someone it could edit someone else so it’s the kind of thing that if you were with someone in a relationship and you broke up with them and you wanted them out of all your facebook pictures you could just put this on it would take them out which incidentally people do this all the time they delete their exes you know the pictures with them and their exes in it I think you should keep that as part of your life like do you delete all the years that you had a bad haircut just because you didn’t enjoy the haircut you like not I made a bad decision there he is or there she is and all my pictures and you know what just is part of who I am I I mean I I threw out a lot of physical pictures of my ex-girlfriend can we talk about that later yeah we need cameras aren’t rolling yeah in Goodman threw him out you burned him I didn’t burn him there was no ceremony involved it was just uh it’s awkward to hold on to these okay Starbucks in 2010 they added two cup sizes they you know making fun of themselves the polenta 128 ounce basically popcorn bucket size of coffee and the Micra a 2 ounce like swish cop like back in grade school when they would pass out the little cups and we’d have to swish fluoride I’d drink I swallowed it imagine it being coffee that you purchased it uh at Starbucks it would be a very little bit of coffee it explains why you act the way you do you never supposed to don’t know much floor about me not to drink the sewage swish I’m like I got to drink this wished why are they telling us not to drink it I’m going to find out okay Netflix a sponsor of the show by the way King change says uh in 2013 last year they did you know how the categories they have the really over specific categories like an actual category that you might get suggested while you’re on Netflix is mind-bending romantic foreign films they have these really overly specific genres that are suggested based on what you’ve watched so they launched a whole lot of new ones that just were on there on April first last year just for that day things like movies that are in English but still require subtitles movies featuring an epic Nicolas Cage meltdown reality TV about
