GMMore 2208: Who Does This Nut Look Like?

Welcome to Good Mythical More. I love to look at photoshopped images of celebrities that incorporate puns, especially if they’re nuts puns. Nuts puns. Well, it’s your lucky day, Link. But first– I haven’t had much luck already today. We’re donating $1,000 to Everytown For Gun Safety Support Fund to aid in their mission to improve our understanding of the causes of gun violence and the means to reduce it by conducting groundbreaking, original research, developing evidence-based policies, and communicating this knowledge in the courts and the court of public opinion. Please join us in giving at everytownsupportfund.org. Mm-hm, thank you for being your mythical best and for hanging out with us. It’s summertime. Yeah, we’re stretching it out. We’re doing a Monday, and a Wednesday, and a Friday, but on Tuesday and Thursday you can watch them again and see what you missed, and you can know more than you did the first time. Right, right, right, right, right, right, right. Feel like you’re predicting the future. Like, “Oh, don’t- don’t guess Ecuador, now guess Ecuador!” The old play along ability. You guys like nuts? I like nuts. Well, kinda, depends on the context. I like a lot of different types of nuts. Tell me about it. What’s your favorite nut? A handful of nuts is a fealthy snack. A fealthy snack? A handful of nuts is a fealthy snack. It’s fealthy. What’s your favorite nut? I have to say peanut, but– But isn’t a peanut a legume? Okay, then I gotta say maybe a macadamia. Interesting. Yeah, macadamia’s good. I like a good almond, I like a good Mericana almond. I think if I had to stick with one nut, it would probably be almonds because of the different ways that they have made almonds taste good. Yeah, they’ve peanut-ized the almond. They haven’t done that with the other. Mm-hm. No, not just that, I’m saying that like you got your salt and vinegar, you got your wasabi, you got all the stuff. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You’ve blue diamond, Those folks have done almonds. Not a sponsor, but boy they’ve done a good thing for society. What about you, Stevie, almonds? Well, you know, I’m going through this roasted salted mixed nuts phase. That’s a phase, we all go through that phase. That usually contains– A roasted, salted– You’ll get through it. Well, cause it is, it’s a nice healthy snack. I have been sampling the name brand mixes from like Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Ralph’s Vaughn situation. You should make a sporked video. Yeah, well it’s probably would be the least interesting sporked video, but there’s a major difference between the roasted and salted from each of these places. Yeah, everybody roasts and salts differently. Yeah. Yep, yep. Brazil nuts. So you’re not picked– Brazil nut is in the mix. You have to pick one nut. Okay, in the mix you’ve got cashew– No, you just have to pick one. I’m giving you some context here. You got cashews, almonds, hazel, nuts, Brazil nuts, and Walnuts. I like a good Walnut. Walnuts, Walnuts can get bitter though. Walnuts can be bitter, but they’ve got a lot of omega somethings. Let me tell you, the the cashew almond ratio to everything else, like there’s a lot of cashew almond, and then everything else is precious. Cashews suck. No, I was gonna say I can get down with a cashew. I am anti-cashew. Cashews got so much flesh. I’m okay with cashew. They got so much flesh. But when you get one of the other nuts, it feels so satisfying. It feels like you’re cheating on the cashews. And a big old Brazil nut, boy you got a major issue. Exactly, yeah, you get a Brazil nut you’re like, “Oh, it’s Brazil nut time,” you know? All right, lets. Make a choice, 3, 2, 1. Oh, so hard. Macadamia. I think hazelnut, which is, again I know it’s out there, it’s an out there choice, but in that mix, that’s a reward. It’s refreshing to you. A Brazil nut could go either way, you know? You could have a bad Brazil nut. Is this dog peanut butter? No, it’s just, a dog’s already slobbered it. Let’s see a pun. You like celebrities? Don’t delay it, I really gotta see one of these. Okay. Oh, Christopher Walnut king. Walnut. Yep. Christopher. Oh, Walnutken, oh okay, that makes more sense. That one’s disturbing. Well, like what’s behind the nut, you know what I’m saying? Like, you’re on the chin. Looks like a super villain, that’s crazy Be tough to clean out behind your chin right there, stuff get in there. You have to pop the whole nut out, and then you die. It does look like you just removed the skin part from his face. And then his skull is a Walnut. Is a Walnut. Yeah, with all those lines in it, it’s– I’ve always thought about that, Christopher Walken like that. All right, oh, who is that? That’s cashew? Who is this guy from history? Is this, is this, that’s not, is that Johnny Cashew? Oh, okay, yes, that’s it. Yep. It didn’t look like Johnny Cash. I just couldn’t figure out it was, yeah, Johnny Cash, but yeah, that’s in a young Johnny Cash. But look how much flesh is on that cashew. So you don’t like the consistency, or the flavor of cashews? Neither, they’re a little soft, and they don’t taste as good. I think a cashew could go either way as well, you gotta get a good cashew. I don’t like the softness, I like a good crunch, almost a pop to a nut. Ringo loves a cashew, that’s his favorite nut. Really? You can feed a cashew to a doggy? I hope so. Well, according to Ringo, yes. They’re most mushable. Okay. Oh, is this a whole band of almonds? Oh, The Almond Brothers. Wow, Link, you’re really quick at this, man. So the Almond Brothers Band, okay, so you got Dickey Betts there in the middle, you got Gregg Almond in the front, you got Dwayne Almond. And then what happened to? I don’t know who these other guys are, but that one in the back right? Well, what happened to Dickey Betts? Looks like leather face. Dickey Betts, what happened to his face? You know, he’s a sliced almond. Dickey Betts is a sliced almond, and it’s cool, cause he’s always slicing up his solos. You know, it really makes sense. That what you were thinking, wasn’t it, weren’t you? Yes. All right, next one. Oh gosh, who is it? Is that Hemsworth? No that’s. Is that the guy, is that Chris Pine? Yeah, Chris Pine Nut. Oh, shoot. There we go, there we go, there we go. Chris Pine Nut, you gave Chris Pine a nut nose? A pine nut nose. You turned his ear into a pine nut? That’s what it appears to be. I remember the first time I ate a pine nut, it was on a shrimp pizza. It was also the first time I had eaten shrimp on a pizza. That’s quite a day for you. Yeah, it was a big day. And you know what? I loved it, I love shrimp on stuff. I’m a sucker for shrimp on a menu. And pine nuts, now we keep a sack of pine nuts at home and they don’t taste good by themselves. Bitter, right? And they also burn really easily. If you’re like toasting some pine nuts, you look away, take a phone call, they’re gonna burn, you gotta be on that. But they’re good on stuff. Oh yeah, on a salad. On a shrimp pizza. I love them on a salad. Chris Pine Nut. Why is he wearing that shirt? Pesto. Pesto, apparently. Oh, yeah. Cause pine trees don’t have pine nuts, right? They have pine cones. So that shirt is made of pesto, cause pesto is pine nuts and what type of? Turns out they come from pine trees, pine nuts. Olive oils? But a different kind of pine tree, not like the kind that we grew up with, cause I’ve searched those trees over for nuts. Yeah. Never found any. Yeah, they don’t have those nuts. Okay. Oh my goodness, Judi Macadame. Macadamia Judi Dench. Yeah. Macadame, yeah. Cause she’s Dame Judi Dench, okay. Okay, I got it. And so she has some macadamia nut cookies, just to really sell it. For shoulder accoutrement. I like that, a cookie on the shoulder isn’t something I thought I would like. I wanna invite you to go over there to sporked.com. Find out the best bar-b-cue sauce. And then just buy the one that intrigues you the most, or the one that they like the most. Lot’s of rankings, including ours from the show, over at sporked.com. Next one. Oh, gosh, it’s her. She’s creepy. Pecan Hathaway. Yeah. Pecan is not a way to say it. Pecan Hathaway, I was saying pecan. Pecan. And then adding Anne. Pecan Hathaway, look at her teeth, good gosh, it’s wild. Pecan teeth and pecan eyes is enough to really, it really sends a message. Her teeth look, they look like like bugs. Well, George Washington’s teeth were made out of pecans. Pecans. Everybody knows that. Now I like a good pecan on my salad, too. I like nuts on a salad. I’m nuts for nuts on a salad. A candied pecan? No, not really. You don’t like a candied pecan, what happened to you? Yeah, I don’t know, they’re too, they’re too candied. Oh, how about lightly candied. Because typically they’ll have a light, they’ll have a candied pecan with apples, and the apple brings a sweetness. So I don’t think I need the sweetness from the candied pecan, that’s too much sweetness for a salad. And then if you have a sweet sauce on it, like a salad dressing. You ever been to a pecan orchard? They don’t have, there’s weren’t many in North Carolina, but in Georgia, in South Georgia, I had family that had them. Wow, really? And we would go over there and it’s just these big fields. Of huge trees. With huge trees, like old trees, like trees that look a couple hundred years old, and they’re just. Yeah. Spaced out perfectly, And you and just, I mean we just go out there and just pick them off the ground. You just pick them off the ground. Yeah, and then you just, you rake them up. And then we go to Mama Nell’s house and just crack them open. They’re fun, a good nut requires a little bit of work, and that’s why I like it. That’s why I like a walnut. I have a feeling that we’ve talked about nuts a lot, repeatedly. Yeah, you’re getting deja vu? Yeah. I probably told that story before. I think we talked about nuts recently. You’ve never told that story. I don’t remember that story, but I think you’ve talked about nuts. You know. Salty pecan. You know Bob Weir, of The Grateful Dead. I may have told this story before, but they asked him “How did you know when you made it?” And he said– Okay. “When I was eating pistachios “and one of them was really hard to get into, “and I was like, screw it, and just move on to the next one.” He was like, “There was a moment,” he was like, “I’m rich enough to not have “to try really hard to get to this pistachio.” It’s a pricey nut. That’s when Bob Weir made it. Macadamias are pricey, too. And that’s the best answer I’ve ever heard to that question. What’s the most expensive nut, is Macadamia or like? Pound for pound, it’s gotta be Macadamia. Not pound for pound, but just like. Of course, Brazil nuts, you know about how they harvest those things? It’s like a tree in the middle of the Amazon, it’s not like on a farm It’s like a tree and you gotta go out there and like, get, I don’t. Really? I’ve seen a documentary at some point, I could be wrong, but I think there’s like just these big old trees. You can talk as much as you want but can you take this picture of Pecan Hathaway down? Cause it’s freaking me out. I don’t know, I’m starting to like it. I’m looking for expensive nuts. She freaks me out anyway. Yeah, Macadamia nuts are the most expensive. Yeah. Followed by pine nuts. Really? Almonds? I guess this is like in the world? Yeah. Chestnuts and cashews. This doesn’t seem. So Brazil nuts didn’t even make it up there, but people don’t like Brazil nuts, they don’t like the taste of them. Let’s see another. So is this a, this is a Walnut, too, isn’t it? Who is that? I know who it is, but. Is that Nat King Cole? Yeah, yeah. It isn’t in a walnut, yes. Nat, what kind of nut? Nut King Cole Yeah, just add the part. Wal-nut king Cole. Yeah. Wal-nut King Cole. Okay, next one. Ooh, that’s Barbara Wall, Barbara. What is that? Wa-wa. Brazil. Barbra-zil Walters. Braaaz. Because that’s a Brazil nut, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You’re close. Brazil Walters. Barbra-zil Nut. Brazil Nut Walters. Yeah, yeah. Barbra-zil Nut Walters. Barbra-zil, oh, Barbra-zil. Y’all are really trying hard, but look at that chin. You know, I wish I could use some of that chin. All right. Trevy, can you gimme some of that Brazil nut chin? Can I apply it in real life? Don’t answer that. Yeah, I’ll just get a Brazil nut implanted sideways. You don’t know what you’re signing up for. Next. Oh! Oh, this is. I don’t know who that is. Isn’t that poppy? No. Yeah. Is it? Yeah. Poppy nut. Poppy from the internet? Hey. Wow. That’s kind of a, is Poppy still doing her thing? I think that she’s like a big pop star now. Good for her. What did we have her on? Did we have, what did we do? Uh, GMM 22. She was in that blur that was GMM 22? “Will it Poppy.” Yeah. If they give the people what they want, it will make them happy. It’s good to be happy. Give them what they want. You can make them happy. I gotta go back and watch that, “Will it Poppy” tonight. Tonight, tonight, baby. I’m gonna curl up, I’m gonna curl up with some Brazil nuts, and just watch “Will it Poppy?” It won’t take long, it’s a short video. Yeah, right. Another one? Coco-nut O’Brien! Coco-nut O’Brien! Look at how white his face was, and I didn’t think he could get whiter. Yeah, that’s actually, that’s Conan’s skin tone. That’s just straight, straight up not photoshopped. Cocoa-nut, all right. I’m ready, is that it? That’s it. All right. It might be hard to believe, but all bacon isn’t created equal.
