[Link] Welcome to Good Mythical More and we are building our ideal girl dinners. – [Rhett] In a minute, we’ll do Ready, Pet, Go. But first we have a sponsor – [Rhett] for this portion of today’s More. – [Rhett] It’s BetterHelp. – [Link] You’ve probably heard us talk about BetterHelp before. – [Link] We’re really excited about their mission to make therapy – [Link] more accessible and affordable. – [Rhett] BetterHelp makes finding the right therapist easier because it’s online, – [Rhett] it’s remote, and after filling out a few quick questions, – [Rhett] BetterHelp matches you to a professional therapist in as little as a few days. – [Link] Finding a therapist can be hard, – [Link] especially when you’re limited to options in your area. But with BetterHelp, – [Link] you’re expanding your search to find your right match. – [Link] So take the first step and sign up with our link. – [Link] That’s betterhelp.com/mythicalmore. – [Rhett] The other great thing about BetterHelp is that you don’t need to stress – [Rhett] if your first therapist isn’t the right one for you. – [Rhett] Sometimes it takes a little trial and error before you find your right match. – [Link] Right. And this is huge for me and totally rings true. – [Link] A few years back. I switched in person therapists – [Link] and I think I needed to experience what I didn’t need – [Link] in order to realize what I actually needed. Does that makes sense? – [Link] So the trial and error was a necessary part of my process – [Link] and I’ll say it was clunky and a challenging transition to navigate. – [Link] But with BetterHelp, you can easily switch to a new therapist – [Link] at no additional cost without stressing about insurance, – [Link] who’s in the network, or anything like that. – [Link] And you can keep doing it until you find that great match. – [Rhett] There’s no time like the present to make a positive change in your life, – [Rhett] to try out BetterHelp for yourself and get 10% off your first month. – [Rhett] Click the link in the description or go to betterhelp.com/mythicalmore – [Link] And thanks again to BetterHelp for sponsoring this portion – [Link] of today’s More now for that wheel spot. – [Rhett] All right, Ready, Pet, Go. – [Rhett] This is when we look at one of your pets that you submitted – [Rhett] and we name it for you. This one was submitted by Meldewet. – [Rhett] Meldewet – [Link] Meldewet’s got a reptile with a nice view of a pasture. – [Link] I’m trying to figure out where the, what? Oh, that’s just the – [Rhett] Is that his right hand? – [Link] Yeah, that’s the right hand coming out from the dangle thing. The bottom fin. – [Rhett] What was the bad guy in uhh? – [Link] That thing can swim – [Rhett] In the Smurfs? – [Link] Gargamel. – [Link] So you’ve got the username, so that’s where you got it from? – [Rhett] Meldewet and Gargamel. – [Link] I think that goes together well, yeah. – [Rhett] Jelly. – [Link] Okay, keep it simple. All right, we’re going. – [Link] You’ve already had a girl dinner like when I got up from your birthday. Is that? – [Link] Can you explain girl dinner, Stevie? – [Stevie] The definition is is fairly wide, but it’s essentially like – [Stevie] you’re doing your own thing for dinner. – [Stevie] You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. – [Stevie] And oftentimes it includes one, whatever you want or two, whatever you have. – [Stevie] So you kind of just piece a little like platter together for yourself – [Stevie] and you call it dinner, even though – [Stevie] it doesn’t fully meet the definition of dinner. – [Rhett] Okay, well, before we get into that – [Link] And it’s a TikTok? Is that where it started? – [Stevie] I believe it originated on TikTok, – [Stevie] but it is a phenomenon that has been going on for years now. – [Link] Well, then where did the meme originate? If not TikTok? – [Stevie] I just said that I believe that it originated on TikTok. – [Rhett] I have a birthday riddle first, man. – [Rhett] Okay. I have all these candies. – [Link] We’re going to push this out. – [Rhett] I have these candies – [Link] Girl Dinner. – [Rhett] And I have to put these candies in place so I get to the girl dinner. – [Rhett] We’re not keeping blank. – [Rhett] Kisses, Jelly Belly, Dots. Is there secret? Skor. We’re not keeping Skor. – [Link] I’m gonna help you out here. – [Rhett] But we hear you’re turning 46. Yeah. Oh, God. Oh, God. – [Rhett] Every time I hear that, I’m like, how is that possible? – [Rhett] You deserve lots of – [Rhett] Kisses. – [Rhett] Yes, I do. Yes, I do. – [Rhett] Kisses, you can kind of tell, what goes there based on the size – [Rhett] pats on your little – [Link] I mean, this is. – [Rhett] Jelly Belly. – [Link] You don’t want pats on your little Dots? – [Rhett] I don’t want pats on my little Dots. – [Link] I really like to get, well, I like them to be pinched – [Link] a little bit more than padded. – [Rhett] Mine are definitely not Dots. Okay. – [Rhett] Lots of people say you’re an – [Link] What are they if they’re not Dots? – [Rhett] Airhead. Clark? Smarties. – [Rhett] But, we think you’re a real Smarties. Sugar Daddy? No, no, no. – [Rhett] Connect the what? – [Link] Smarties? This is not plural. You’re an Airheads? Both of these are. – [Link] Well, let’s just – [Rhett] Connect the Dots. Yeah, there it is. Like on this very poster. – [Rhett] We wouldn’t trade you even for a huge Payday. – [Rhett] Because you are our Sugar Daddy. Though, you look more like a Clark. – [Rhett] Oh, I’ve been told I look like a Clark. – [Rhett] Did I do it? Did I do it? Did I do it? Did I do it? What do I win? – [Rhett] What do I win? – [Link] You win – [Rhett] Two half pound Reese’s – [Link] Don’t open that because they’re going to regift it again – [Link] to me next birthday. I think – [Rhett] Hold on, did you get these and not open them? – [Link] I think that’s what happened. – [Rhett] Yeah. I’m not like you. – [Link] That’s just a lot, you know? – [Link] That’s a lot for a girl who just wants a little dinner. – [Rhett] If somebody gives you one of these, you have to take a bite out of it, at least, you know? – [Rhett] I feel like a Clark. I feel like such a Clark right now. – [Link] Wow. – [Rhett] Look at that. – [Link] Is that what happened? Did I? – [Link] I ate it. – [Rhett] I’m just going to take a bite out of it. – [Link] Maybe break it open. Oh, wow. It looks – [Link] is it old? – [Rhett] It’s pretty dusty – [Link] it’s dusty in there? – [Rhett] It’s good though – [Link] It’s good? It’s good, but it’s dusty? – [Rhett] All right, you want one? – [Link] No. I like the small ones. – [Link] So how much money do we have to spend to make our own girl dinner? – [Stevie] $15 – [Link] Five Dollar, four dollar, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, – [Link] thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. So we can get something from every category. – [Link] Or you could distribute amongst the lower things on your girl dinner. – [Rhett] Do you have one of these? – [Link] I do. I do. – [Rhett] $15. – [Link] Girl dinner. – [Link] Girl. – [Rhett] First of all, that top line, block of cheddar, pickles, and sliced turkey. – [Rhett] That sounds like a late night at my house. – [Rhett] I mean, I don’t get with chicken tendies, – [Rhett] but block of cheddar, pickles, and sliced turkey. – [Link] Well, you could get three for four and call it a day. Call it a girl dinner. – [Link] I know that I’m going with chocolate milk. So no matter what else happens, – [Link] my girl dinner has a $4 chocolate milk. – [Rhett] I want to branch out. I want more of an experience. – [Rhett] Jams. Who’s just going to eat jams? I just want some jams. – [Rhett] Just a few. Just a selection of jams. – [Link] Are you tempted by water? Perhaps to start with? – [Rhett] Actually, I would love some water right now after biting into that – [Link] Water. – [Rhett] Reese’s cup. – [Link] Hey, man, it’s your birthday, here. – [Rhett] Oh, I’m prepared. – [Link] You got water in there? Okay. – [Rhett] Thank you, though. – [Link] I just want you to be happy for one day out of the year. – [Link] Olives. That would be a – [Link] I want some chicken tenders. No, I’m building my meal around chocolate milk, – [Link] apples and peanut butter. – [Rhett] This is not dinner. – [Link] This works with chocolate milk. So I’m doing that. – [Stevie] These are like, very refined options, I would say, – [Stevie] because I’ve seen a lot of like, you know, – [Stevie] the top bun of half of my sandwich that I didn’t have for lunch, you know? – [Link] Yeah, this is generous. – [Stevie] Which could, you know, do something. – [Rhett] Man, I only get $15? – [Link] Make a choice. – [Rhett] I got to get a block of cheddar. I can go to town on that thing. – [Link] Now, if I eat chocolate milk and apples and peanut butter, – [Link] I think, what do I want to go with that? I would really like – [Link] because what I’m going to do is, I might, – [Link] this is my my dessert part. This is like my first dessert of my girl dinner. – [Rhett] First dessert? – [Link] But the first thing that I’m going to eat is – [Link] I’m going to eat baby carrots. – [Link] And that way I feel like I deserve splurging on some chocolate milk. – [Rhett] You know, I got to say, though, now that I’m 46, – [Rhett] just eating just a block of cheddar. – [Link] That’s going to hurt. – [Rhett] Can really cause a lot of problems. You know, Link, – [Rhett] I’m really I’m breaking out into the, – [Rhett] I’m going where neither of us has gone before, 46, man. – [Rhett] It feels different than everything before it. – [Link] Flirting with 50. – [Rhett] Because it’s kind of like at this point – [Rhett] even though technically 45 would round up to 50. – [Rhett] I think mentally I’ve been rounding down to 40, – [Rhett] and 46 is like, man, you’re on the other side, like 46? – [Rhett] It’s basically over now. – [Link] I do feel a distance between us that I couldn’t put my finger on. – [Rhett] Yeah, you’ll be here soon enough. – [Link] Like we’re pointing in different directions. – [Rhett] But I’m just letting you know that I haven’t felt anything – [Rhett] from a number turning a number since 40, – [Rhett] but 46. You feel it. You wake up – [Link] In what? in the what in the dots? – [Rhett] We are filming this before I turn 46. – [Rhett] The fact that we’ve spent so much time talking about me turning 46, – [Rhett] it’s really the first time that it’s really registering. 46. – [Link] 46. It’s ugly. – [Link] But it’s got a nice even divisible-ness to it. – [Rhett] Yeah, two goes into it. – [Link] like two 23 year olds could go into it. – [Rhett] Um, what are you trying to say, man? – [Link] I don’t know. Just relax. – [Rhett] I don’t. When you say something like two 23 year olds could go into it. – [Rhett] I don’t want to relax. I want my guard up. – [Rhett] I want my guard up to make sure that you don’t say anything inappropriate. – [Link] What about popcorn, though? – [Rhett] I do like it. – [Link] I know you like popcorn. – [Rhett] I feel like you can get quite a bit of popcorn – [Rhett] and you feel like you haven’t eaten that much, – [Rhett] even though you’ve eaten a lot of volume. – [Link] You know what? I’m going to go with the popcorn – [Link] because I like the salty and buttery-ness. – [Link] That then is going to take me away from the sweetness – [Link] of the chocolate milk and peanut butter and this becomes a nice trifecta. – [Rhett] I’m going with the chocolate almonds – [Rhett] because if you could put those in my house, – [Rhett] this girl will go after them real fast. – [Link] Bagel chips are are tempting, if you want that crunch. – [Rhett] Where are those? – [Link] They’re in the $4 section. – [Rhett] Oh, how did I miss those? – [Link] You want some of that? It’s good with the blocks of cheddar too. – [Link] It’s got a nice rigidity that you can just – [Link] scrape off some edges of the cheddar. – [Rhett] I need some protein. – [Link] So, I’m 8, 10, $11. I got $4 left. – [Rhett] It’s hard for me to eat a dinner – [Rhett] that doesn’t have a strong protein. Sorry, pickles. – [Link] I can’t get anything from this anymore. I can’t afford it. – [Link] This girl is just having a hard luck life. – [Rhett] Cheddar and turkey, chocolate almonds. That’s shaping up. – [Rhett] This is a pretty good meal. Only got $2 left – [Rhett] I got to think about my fiber intake here, I got some fiber in the almonds. – [Link] Apple juice will really get your bowels moving. – [Rhett] You don’t want, – [Rhett] the juice of the fruit, not a good thing to put in your body. It’s concentrated sugar. – [Link] The juice of the fruit? – [Rhett] Juice of any fruit. Bad idea, high glycemic index. – [Rhett] Cause an insulin spike. It’s all the bad parts of the fruit, – [Rhett] without the good parts. – [Rhett] You need the fiber in there. Slow things down, man. – [Rhett] You don’t want apple juice. Bad, bad deal. Especially when you’re 46. – [Rhett] Maybe do it for the next few months. – [Link] Yeah, I’m good. – [Rhett] Yeah. Let’s stay back to back though. – [Link] Okay, so we were heading in different directions now – [Rhett] That’s right. Yeah. – [Rhett] A totally different world while I’m over here. – [Rhett] Oh, boy, we’re old. – [Link] What did I say? Eight and ten. – [Rhett] I got to have water. I got to get that cheddar down. – [Rhett] Okay. Now, I’m stuck with jams, baby carrots or peanuts. – [Rhett] I’ve done it again. – [Rhett] I’m going to have to go with jams. I never thought I’d say this. – [Link] You’re going with jams? – [Rhett] I’m going with jams, because – [Link] the glycemic index in that? – [Rhett] No, there’s fiber in there. Those jams look thick. – [Rhett] I have high fiber jams. – [Link] Yeah, yeah, yeah. – [Rhett] It’s not a jelly. It’s jams. – [Link] I’m gonna go with Lacroix – [Link] because I need something to wash down these carrots before, well? – [Rhett] You’re paying $3 for flavor. I’ve got $1 just for good water. – [Link] I don’t like beef jerky, really. Because – [Rhett] I’ve really fallen off with beef jerky. – [Link] I’ve fallen off of beef jerky too. – [Rhett] Do you know why we’ve both fallen off for the same reason? – [Link] Because there’s so much of it at the creative house. – [Rhett] Little back story. Years ago, pre-pandemic, – [Rhett] we did a taste test of beef jerky and Archer Farms won. – [Link] They backed up the truck. – [Rhett] We talked about how great they were and their response to that – [Rhett] was sending us a case of every flavor of beef jerky that they have. – [Link] I wouldn’t call it a case. I’d call it more of like a storage locker. – [Rhett] We put all of it in the creative house. – [Link] Even made a wall out of it. Floor to ceiling. – [Rhett] I would say 78% of it is still in the creative house, uneaten. – [Rhett] And at this point, it’s been six years? Five years? – [Rhett] Anyway, whenever I see beef jerky anywhere, I’m like, I have a lot of that. – [Rhett] I have a lot of that already, and so, and we’re not really getting through it. – [Rhett] So beef jerky’s kind of off the table for now. – [Link] You know what I’m going to do? I’m going to go with celery and hummus, – [Link] To round out my girl dinner, because this is my actual meal – [Link] is baby carrots and hummus, and I might use some of the celery – [Link] with the peanut butter to like have antless logs. – [Link] and then a little bit of apples to boot. – [Link] And then I’m going to my salty popcorn with a little chocolate milk. – [Rhett] It’s not a bad meal. You don’t have jams. I will say that. – [Link] That’s a good girl dinner. Does that add up? – [Rhett] I got jams. – [Link] 12, 13, 14, 15. Yes. ((Upbeat Music)) – [Link] You like scary movies?
