Will we make the same moves?
Welcome to Good Mythical More.
Today we're going to find
out just how in sync we are.
Just being friends for 42 years calls
you to somehow- Mind meld like charades?
… it's like an old married couple.
Are we starting to look like each other?
Not really.
Um, okay.
So Jenna's gonna give us a simple charade.
We're going to close our eyes and
think about what we're gonna do.
She's gonna say three, two, one, and
then we're just gonna do it irrespective
of who we can see in our periphery.
This is about what we're
committing to, and we're gonna
see if- Yeah … we sync up.
Okay.
All right.
Chase, that is what
we're… Where is Chase?
Yeah, Chase produced this.
We don't know where Chase is.
We're gonna look for him
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
But that is what we're supposed to do?
That is what we're doing.
I can give you the first prompt-
Okay … if you guys- All right, yes.
Okay, okay.
All right.
First prompt is a peace
sign in three, two, one.
Did we do the same thing?
Yeah.
Yeah, same, same hand.
And we did it right hand, right hand.
Right-handed.
What kind of face did you make?
Just a little smile, but not too much.
Oh, I posed a little too much.
I, yeah, I kinda leaned into it.
But y- I, that's pretty, that's 99%.
Okay.
That one was very easy.
Okay.
Well, we had a- I bet they get harder.
This is about building confidence.
Yeah, yeah.
We're now, we're now that much
more confident, but also at peace.
Okay.
Is your monitor up?
Can you guys see yourselves?
No.
Oh, okay.
N- no.
'Cause I was gonna say… Don't look.
Hold it, hold it for a second.
You know, you, you gave up so quickly.
Let us evaluate.
Oh.
Okay.
All right.
Oh, oh, okay.
We'll hold it for a second this time.
We'll hold it.
Yes.
We'll hold it or we'll keep doing it.
Okay.
A heart in three, two, one
Okay, I'm gonna hold it for a little bit.
I'm gonna hold it for a little bit.
I did the Gen Z heart.
Yeah, I could've gone under the
thing, but my shirt's tucked in.
That, that is not the Gen Z heart,
that is the millennial heart.
Okay, millennial heart.
This is a millennial heart.
Is this the Gen Z heart?
No, not at all.
That's the Gen Alpha heart.
Oh, they do the… Uh, oh yeah,
I can't do the Gen Z heart.
It's just with those,
it's with- Gen Z is this?
Yeah.
Link, you're close.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're getting there.
I'll work on that one sometime.
Oh, gotta u- I gotta use my pen hand.
The millennial heart's so much better.
You did a c- a completely
new heart, though.
Bo- you did Bob Newhart.
Okay.
All right.
Well, I thought maybe
we would get that one.
All right.
So where do we go from here?
Next prompt is give me a
minute, I'm on the phone.
In three, two, one.
It's a good mirror that happens Oh,
I've- Are you, are you, are you,
are you… I held up my other hand.
Now, I don't know what- But
you're not doing this thing.
Why are you putting- I don't know
what- … your finger in your ear?
I meant to do this.
Oh.
See, I had it on the shoulder.
I've seen you do this a lot.
You talk on the phone
more than I do, I think.
Wha- this?
No, this.
Like, the… See what my face is doing?
You do that a lot.
It's like you're being shocked.
Hold, I don't ever hold
the phone like this.
I mean, you might, you
might be holding the phone.
First of all, I'm a right ear phone guy.
You're a left ear phone guy.
Another piece- Mm-hmm … of
evidence for why you're left-handed.
I'm, yeah, I'm a left phone
person completely, and then
that way I can point at people.
I don't feel like- I'm like, "I'm
talking about you." Like, if I'm in a
conversation and I switch to the left
side, they might as well be on Mars.
Can't hear me.
Like, I'm like, "I can't understand
what you're saying." It's just crazy.
There's, like, information doesn't…
Maybe that's why I never listen to you.
Because nothing c- nothing coming
from this side- Oh, really?
… makes any sense.
Maybe you're c- you seem completely
rational to everyone else, and it's
just me that you seem crazy to.
Ho- ho- ho- hold on a second.
Yes, he did just admit
to never listening to me.
Um, I, I'm very interested in what you're
pointing out, like… Your f- yeah, that
It's like, oh, y- you're y- you're
frequently on the phone with somebody like
I, uh, in your mouth, it's
almost like you're making noise.
Ah, ah, ah, ah Yeah, because I don't keep
my phone on do not disturb at all times.
I accept calls.
You seem to be offended by my observation.
Yeah, 'cause I'm being attacked.
I'm not… How am I… I'm pointing out-
Let's get back to the game … a practice.
Why are you offended?
Okay.
Well, we kind of matched on that
Yeah, it was an, it was a
nice mirror It was a mirror.
It was a mirror.
Yeah.
Okay.
Uh, take a selfie in three, two, one.
Hold on, I was, I was thinking
about the text that I just got.
I thought your phone
was on do not disturb.
Uh.
Take a selfie.
Three, two, one.
Ha.
See?
It's not.
Look, my phone is not on do not disturb.
Seems like it should be.
You know it is.
Now, in an effort to match
with him, I held up my left
hand, which I would never do.
All right.
Do not … What, what am I saying?
Do not disturb?
He's, Link, you've already seen Rhett.
I don't- Do not disturb.
His memory's very short.
Say it again.
He'll forget.
We're moving on to a different prompt.
No, selfie.
What would you do for a selfie?
Just do it now.
Three, two, one.
Oh, God.
All chin.
Okay.
I saw you.
Evil villain.
Three, two- Hold on, hold on.
We gotta think about this.
Yeah, yeah.
You, you gotta give us a second.
We need more of a thought.
All right, all right, all right.
Evil villain?
Okay.
I got it.
Three, two, one.
What's he doing?
I'm doing this.
Link, you look like you're
terrified of the evil villain.
Yeah, I am.
Oh.
That's pretty good.
I don't know why he would do that,
but he's- I don't either … this
is like some, like, air gua sha.
Um, so maybe- Hm … let's, let's
have a little, uh, sidebar discussion.
So, um, what I'm trying to
do- Yeah, that was right
is I'm trying to think not w- what I would
do, I'm trying to think what we would do.
Yeah, me too.
So you thought I would go like this?
Well, I just didn't
have anything else, man.
Okay.
All right.
I'm just trying to
figure out your strategy.
Okay.
Am I being attacked?
Yes.
The next prompt is let's not.
Okay, hold on
Let's not?
Yes
Okay.
Three, two, one
Not bad.
I, I feel like Link is always
doing a motion with it.
It's not a singular pose.
It's always motion
I think you're- Like, if, uh, if my,
uh, if somebody, like m- one of my
kids was, when they were younger,
started doing something at a funeral.
That's what I was picturing.
Let's not.
Let's not.
I thought, I was like, "Hey, do you,
you wanna go out and get sushi?"
Let's not.
Okay.
All right.
We, w- a slightly different
interpretation of that one.
Okay.
We're gonna sync back up in a moment.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, this is not easy.
Okay.
I think I've got it, though.
Three, two, one.
Okay.
Yeah, I thought about doing some kinda
triangular thing- Oh, yeah … but
I figured it would be like this.
So you're doing kinda- I
did- … baby devil horns.
Yeah.
Yeah, in a game of charades, I
would have to do another action
to- Does that- … to learn cat.
Does this work though?
Is this working?
Yeah, that actually is what
we were expecting to see.
Oh.
Yeah.
So it's a thing.
People do this?
That is a thing that people do.
This is officially cat
ears in the Gen Z lexicon?
K-pop.
K-pop lexicon
Okay … and then they do things
like- K-pop spans generations
I'm learning new things today.
So it's, you only can do, do things, y'all
can only do things with these two fingers.
Peace, heart.
Heart … whatever the heart is.
Cat ears.
Yeah.
What, listen.
And it's making my wrist hurt … us
people, we use these fingers.
Us people.
The little ones.
Us people use these, okay?
Yeah.
Us people.
Yeah, do y'all do that?
Yeah.
Yeah, okay.
You hurt, you try that on your,
um, try that on your knuckle, man.
Oh, that's not that
knuckle, it's this knuckle.
Try that while we're doing the thing.
Oh, gosh.
It's really intense.
Too much for the knuck?
Yeah, it's a, it's a little
too much For the nuck, huh?
It's a little too much.
Ooh, yeah.
Whoa, that is too much.
The, the fingers are
really, really sensitive.
Oh, whoa.
But the thing I like
about that is it's strong.
It's like you're getting your $93 worth.
Hmm.
Next.
Stop crying before I give
you something to cry about
Okay, uh
Okay
Definitely f- definitely
directed at the kids
three, two, one.
Oh,
okay.
Yeah.
Oh, I'm, I'm madder than you.
But, but you're… Would you, if
you had glasses, would they be down?
Yes.
Yes.
Yes, I have, had, my
fake glasses are down.
So we did the point.
Did the point.
Fake glasses down.
That's good.
That, that's points.
That was good.
That was good.
Uh huh.
All right, we melded.
We know how to raise children
Next prompt is, "What are those?"
Okay.
Three, two, one
Oh.
Oh, what are those?
What are those?
What are those?
You're co- why are you
covering your mouth up?
Oh.
Because, you know, it's the, oh.
That's the thing.
I think the motion is … So
this is, this is the first part,
and then … What are those?
Oh.
You know, like when somebody
does something real embar- oh.
Like, you gotta cover your mouth.
That's- … that's part of it, right?
That's like Worldstar.
Remember that?
What?
Worldstar.
Remember that?
Yes, exactly.
When, like, somebody starts fighting.
Oh.
Is that still a thing?
Is Worldstar still happening?
I don't think so.
They shut it down?
Oh y- oh, I thought you meant,
like, as a cultural reference.
I don't know if it's
actually still around.
I would ask Chase- Well, let's
bring it back … he used to look
at it a lot, but he's not here.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Just g- uh, Google is
Worldstar still around.
And ch- uh, Jenna, give us the next one.
Making stir fry in a huge wok.
Okay.
Three, two, one.
Oh, there you go.
Why are you covering your mouth?
'Cause it stinks.
What are those?
'Cause it's squid.
Okay, I've got- Pretty
close … a big ass wok.
Y'all seen my wok?
I have a 36-inch- Have I seen… … wok.
36-inch wok?
It's this big.
And I got it- What?
… because- Well, that look
like four feet, but.
It's very big.
I, I keep it in the garage.
I can't keep it in the kitchen.
Have I seen this?
Uh.
What did you do in this wok?
Well, during the pandemic,
uh, I got into, like, cooking.
I was like, "Man, when everybody gets
back together, I'm gonna cook for
everybody." And that's when I got
that- Stir fry … that big paella pan.
Yeah.
That's when I made paella for people.
That's when I got into my, like,
making all my fried chicken sandwiches.
And then I was like, "I want a
big wok recipe." And- Big wok
recipe … it's so big, I could
cook for, like, 20, 25 people.
So you were thinking about a party.
And I've only, the only thing
I've done with it is season it.
So, like, I've d- gone through the
process of preparing it to cook, because
I've got that big burner outside.
Mm-hmm.
And I just haven't- What's gonna go in it?
… decided on a recipe.
Stir fry?
And so it's just been s- yeah, like,
I have a couple of different things.
Like, it's hard to make a big, like,
Asian recipe that everybody likes.
It's not like making fried chicken.
So it's like, I made kung pao chicken,
and people are like, "I don't like spicy."
You know?
It's like, it's like when you
make Asian food, it's, it- And
you're making one pot of it.
And there's peanuts in it, you know?
It's like people might- I like,
I like that … be allergic.
So I thought about making a kung
pao spaghetti, 'cause I thought
that would be an interesting recipe.
It- So you put the noodles, the
cooked noodles in there at the end
and kinda- Smoke 'em, smoke 'em up.
Smoke them noodles up, you know?
So anyway, maybe… You know what?
That's giving me- So you'd be inventing-
No, there's, I'm, it's on the- … kung
pao spaghetti … people have done it.
So- Well, I'd- I have a big ass
wok, that's all I'm saying … I
would like an invitation.
Well, you'll be invited.
It, it's, it's a street food type thing.
Like, they'll have big woks for,
like, street food, and then they're,
like, doing everything in it.
So that's what you're trying to do.
It's like the kind of wok you see if you
go to, like, a resort and it's stir fry
night, and they're like, there's a guy
out there just, like- Oh, wow … making
it for just lots of people, you know?
I mean- Like, I saw, I went to a
place one time, and it was paella
night, and the guy had a paella pan
that was, like, six feet across.
Which you have one of those, too.
No, my paella pan is this big.
That's big enough For the number
of friends you have, that's plenty.
Did you say six feet across?
Yeah.
He did say that.
It, it like a resort, yeah.
What?
At a resort.
No, no, no, no.
A paella.
A paella resort.
It's like a giant paella pan, and
the guy's, like, stirring the rice
and… Look it up, giant paella pan.
You found it?
Well, it's on Worldstar.
That's crazy.
Worldstar does still exist.
And, and so people are uploading
videos of, like, street altercations.
It's, like, the same
as it always was, yeah.
Okay.
Street altercations.
School fights are my favorite.
Next one.
You just found a $100 bill on the ground
In three, two, one
Oh, you're picking it up?
I'm suspicious.
This is just part of a process.
I'm suspicious, though.
I picked it up and I,
now I know it's real.
I'm looking for the WorldStar cameras.
This is a tr- this is a prank.
I remember, uh, when our kids started
going to, uh, maybe the first school
that they went to, and the first week of
school there was a fight at school- Oh
that went viral on WorldStar.
At f- their school?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Our, here in LA.
Oh.
And it, 'cause a guy… It's one of
the it was one of those high school
fights where obviously one of the
guys knows martial arts, and he broke
out, like, a flying kick and- What?
… took the other g- kid out.
And that was at the school
that our kids started at.
Like, a crane kick?
Uh- Like a flying- I
think he was a roundhouse.
What?
Yes.
It was one of those fights that ends
in, like- When you're trained to do
those, you're trained to not use it
on camera … you come up and then,
whoop, bam, and it's just one kick over.
One-kick fight.
One-kick fight.
That's a whole category on WorldStar.
My favorite category.
Wow.
'Cause I don't have time.
I gotta watch a lot of fights.
I need a lot of fights.
I need a bunch of fights.
One-punch fights, one-kick fights
are my favorite types of fights.
Yeah, 'cause you can
get through more videos.
And now they've got the
slapping competitions.
I hate that.
I'm into that, I'm into that as well.
Especially when they've taken and they've
done an effect where it makes it look
like the guy's eyes get rearranged.
Like, and his face moves
over here to the side.
What?
That's my favorite use of- If you-
… special effects … if you've seen
enough to get that in your algorithm…
Oh, oh, slap fights- Boom … aren't
enough, now we need to get- His whole
face gets small and goes to the side.
It's like, damn, that guy slapped hard.
There's a, I mean, there's a women league.
Yes.
Women slapping each other.
I love women slapping each other.
Men slapping each other.
It's brutal.
I h- I cannot.
I just sit there at my phone and just go.
I put my phone- I can't
do it … on a stand.
I can't do it.
So I can point at it.
I, um, you know, you're talking
about seeing a $100 bill.
I was somewhere a couple days ago and
the thought popped into my head, "Boy,
it would be cool to find some money."
Like, I was just walking down the
street and I was like, I kinda felt
like I was about to find some money.
I said, a thought that's
never crossed my mind before.
Just walking down the street, I was
like- What kinda area were you in?
Any kinda… Like, a sidewalk.
It'd be, like, downtown
Burbank type vibes.
Some, I can't remember where I was
exactly, but it felt like that.
It's like I'm accessing a dream.
But I do remember that I was thinking.
Did you find any?
Nope.
But step one is, is being open to
finding- Being open to finding money
That'd be cool to find
some money right now.
You gotta have a positive outlook.
And I just kept walking, but it
kinda gave me this in, attentiveness
that's like, I highly recommend it.
Well, don't go to a fountain.
If you ever… Well, no, that'd be great.
If you're ever walking around and
you're like, "I just kinda feel
like I could find some money."
You can't take money out of a fountain.
You might.
That's a bad, that's a bad omen.
We were recently, when we
were, uh, up in Montana.
Remember this?
What?
So we were in Missoula, Montana,
and we told a story about, um-
ATV … ATV accident, et cetera.
Fly fishing.
Um, so college is in session, the
University of Montana, the Griz, which I
gotta be honest, I didn't know much about.
They were having a football game, so
we went to this bar afterwards with our
friends, and, like, uh, I- Oh, that night?
I could say, um, the presence
of your boys caused a little bit
of a stir in the college bar.
Mm. And, um, lots of, "Let me buy you a
drink" and, "What are you doing here?"
was basically the only two things that
were said to us over and over again.
Yeah.
Over and over again.
And they- "What are you h- why are
you in Missoula?" And the- "Can
I buy you a drink?" The m- the,
lots of offers to buy a drink.
Everyone was inebriated.
And, uh, they have a good time up there.
They have a good time
up there in Missoula.
But when we went outside, when
we were like, "Okay, this is
maybe a little bit too intense.
Let's leave." Let's leave.
Um, we get out on the street and we,
another group recognizes us, and the guy
comes up, and he leads- With a $2 bill.
Oh, yeah.
He's holding out a fresh…
I, I don't even, I don't
even know where it came from.
It's just like whoosh.
Pristine, unbent- And I saw it, and I
did what I- … bank, bank-issued $2 bill
I did what I did for the $100 bill.
I was like, "Mm." Oh,
and I didn't touch it.
I did not touch it.
I said, "I can't, I'm not gonna
take your money." And then, like,
I'm looking down at it, and I'm
like, "What's going on?" I'm looking
at the guy, looking at the bill.
And all of a sudden I see this hand come
in, just goes zoop, and our f- our- My
friend Tim was like, "I'll take it."
It's like, "$2 bill." So Tim took it.
He's got that $2 bill.
And it wasn't a joke.
And then I, and then I was like, "Why,
why are you giving out $2 bills?" And
he said, "I, that's something I like to
do." Yeah, he's got a pristine roll of
$2 bills, and he likes to give 'em out.
And interestingly, somehow after
that happened- But he was a young guy
we were… Oh, Tim was telling us,
I think he was telling us, that
this is something that Clemson
fans have done for y- for years.
So, like- Right … the c- if, if Clemson
is playing football in a different city,
the people who are there rooting on the
team will go to that city, and they will
take a bunch of $2 bills, and they will
distribute the $2 bills into the monetar-
the local monetary system as if to say,
"Clemson was here, and we got $2 bills."
I don't understand it.
Isn't that weird?
But that's a thing that
they traditionally do.
Sometimes they'll deface it, whi- which
is illegal, with like, um- A little
paw print on it … Clemson stuff.
Yeah.
So you'll really know they were there.
Yes.
Anyway.
Man, distributing it, like,
boosting the local acomody.
Aco- Acomody?
Hey, hey, hey, that's what we do, acomody.
Yeah.
It's very efficient comedy.
Um, I think that's a
good gesture, you know?
Okay.
Well, then let's start
doing it with $3 bills.
