My favorite memory from when I was a kid is my dad taking me to the pond to feed the ducks. My favorite memory is when the mommy raccoon would come visit me in the consequence hole. What? What? Mommy raccoon, consequence hole? Well, she wasn’t everybody’s mommy raccoon, but she was the one who kept them all in line. I’m still confused. Oh, they would always get into so much trouble, but then mommy raccoon would come and shake her little paw and they’d straighten right up. What about this consequence hole? Well, you know how when you dig and the place that you’re digging gets all empty. I know what a hole is. What I don’t understand is every other part of what you said. Okay, well, when we go to take a break from making the dog necklaces… Whoa, the dog necklaces? Necklaces that dogs wear, beautiful accessories. You mean dog collars? No, God, no. They are not collars. It’s fine jewelry for dogs, it’s nothing like a dog collar. Don’t you ever say that? Okay, okay, okay. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. So when we would take breaks, we would go, I’m sorry. I just need you to know that dog necklaces are not collars. I don’t want you to telling people that I made dog collars because I never did. I know, I’m not gonna do that. Okay, thank you. Anyways, when we would take breaks, we would go to the consequence hole and hide so that the field dweller wouldn’t tell us his story. The who? The field dweller. Some people called him the spookster or the long legged shrimp face. The long legged shrimp face? My dad’s name was the long legged shrimp face. He spent a lot of time outside, dwelling the fields. Did he wear a lot of tank tops? Yes. And did he have a birthmark on his left calf that looked like the state of Colorado? Well, more like Wyoming, but yeah. And then one day he left for the fields and we never saw him again. Well that’s because he was killed by Mr. Weedwhacker in 19… 91. Yep, things got a lot better after he was gone. No, they didn’t.
