I have this, it’s so bad, I have this tub of frosting that I bought. Yeah. And I just sit with a spoon. Frosting is like my bane. Welcome everybody to Trevor Talks Too Much, the show where I, Trevor, talk to a bunch of really cool people and hopefully they think I’m cool too. ‘Cause I’d want people to think that I’m cool. My name’s Trevor, I’m a master baker, a mythical soft boy and winner of the diligence award at my kindergarten graduation. Very accomplished, very accomplished. Today I’m gonna be talking to Baby Ariel, who is a social media star, an actress, a singer, and just a great person. Fun fact, actually, I’ve done a little bit of acting in my day, little bit of thespianism. My father, whom I love, he owns a cigar lounge in Meridian, Idaho. He loves cigars and he created a YouTube series. And the whole joke is that he is basically the Michael Scott of cigars, but he does this really bad accent. And his name is Cigar Don Williams. And so he runs a cigar lounge, but he’s like this former Dominoes produce delivery driver that decided to get into the cigar business. It’s really funny, but he asked me to be in one of the episodes and I played his summer intern who couldn’t go into the lounge because I have popcorn lung. My character had popcorn lung from vaping too much in high school, which I don’t. I don’t have popcorn lung that was made up. What does popcorn lung mean? Popcorn lung, Jamie, I’m glad you ask. Everybody say hi to Jamie. It’s my producer, by the way. Hey. Popcorn lung is known as constrictive bronchiolitis in the medical world. And it’s what happens when your alveoli, which are those little sacks in your lung that absorb oxygen, they get filled up and then you can’t breathe right. So it’s really bad. It’s a terrible disease and you shouldn’t vape because it’s bad for you. Anyway, my character had popcorn lung, constrictive bronchiolitis, and I couldn’t come in the cigar lounge. And I just had this inhaler and I was just ripping on this inhaler the whole time. All of my scenes were shot from out of the window of the lounge. So I’m just standing outside the window, looking in. And this whole time, he’s like, that’s my intern, Tony. He’s a crackerjack on the computer. And my dad’s just doing this terrible British accent, pretending that I’m his intern. And it was really funny, but I had these big pink headphones, they were my gamer headphones. They were Razer Kraken Pros. And I had my Alienware laptop, that I was sitting on. And I was just sitting on the ground, outside the lounge, doing God knows what for the cigar lounge. I don’t know why he needs a computer guy when there’s no computers in the lounge. Funny that. Yeah, I was his little crackerjack intern. And I ordered, according to my duties, according to the show, were ordering toilet paper, paper towels, water, and Poo-Pourri for the toilet, ’cause it makes the toilet smell nice. So, that’s what I did at the lounge. That actually works wonders, I will say. I love Poo-Pourri. Oh my gosh, I keep it in my house. I have a little travel size bottle actually, ’cause I don’t like pooping in places that aren’t my home ’cause I’m a scared I’m gonna stink up the bathroom. So I always carry around a little travel size bottle of Poo-Pourri with me. It smells like evergreen and it’s very nice. I got it at the Bed Bath & Beyond. But yeah, so the gist of my act grew pretty successful, I’d say. You can go check it out. Cigar Don Williams on YouTube, that’s my dad. He’s a character. Great guy though. A lot of people actually know my dad. He comes into the GMM live streams that we do and he hangs out and Rhett and Link wrote a song about him, which was very fun. And it went like, “first name, Cigar, middle name Don, last name Williams. ‘Cause when he goes into the GMM live streams, his YouTube channel name is Cigar Don Williams and so that’s what shows up when he donates. And so it shows up like Cigar Don Williams donated. And then I always go, I’m like, that’s my dad. And then Rhett and Link are like we got Trevor’s dad in the stream. And then they say hi to my dad. And then my dad texts me ’cause he lives in Idaho, obviously. That’s where I’m from. I’m from Idaho, the great land of potatoes. And then they’re always like, “we got Trevor’s dad in the stream.” And then I’m shouting out my dad on camera. I’m like, “go Dad, I love you.” My dad’s a great guy. He’s like one of the best guys I know, I really love him. He taught me like everything I know. And he’s just really funny and you should all hang out with my dad. Actually. He’s wonderful. You can go visit him in Idaho, he’d love to see you. So everybody go hang out with my dad. Book a plane ticket, go to Idaho, go hang out with my dad. Tell him I sent you and he’ll take you whitewater rafting. If you’re into cigars, he’ll give you cigars. Those are the two main things that he does. But he also likes to hang out with my mom. Which I do too, I like to hang out- Trevor? What? I mean while I’m actually learning a lot about your dad right now and he actually sounds like someone I would want to hang out with. Yeah. And I think the audience would too. We should maybe get onto the point of this day’s show, which is Baby Ariel. Right, right. The guest. for the show that we do. The show that we do, called Trevor Talks Too Much, which is what you’re listening to right now. I’m my dad, if you were unaware. Baby Ariel, I talked to her today for so long. It was so fun. We had such a great time. She’s super amazing. She’s got a huge following on TikTok, 35 million followers. She’s almost got 10 million followers on Instagram. She’s super talented though. She also is an actress. She’s in a Disney channel original movie called Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2, which is the sequel to Z-O-M-B-I-E-S. And she’s in Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3, which is coming out. And she’s also in a horror movie coming out, called Oracle. She’s also got an EP, she’s a musician. She’s super talented, super sweet, a great person. We had a lot of fun talking to her. We talked about our mutual love of pickles, we talked about our pets, we talked about our backgrounds in theater, we told some fun stories, talked about horror movies. Just all sorts of stuff. We just had a really, really awesome conversation. I loved it and I hope that you love it too. So let’s get into it. Baby Ariel, thank you so much for coming on. This is exciting. Thank you for having me. Yeah, thank you so much for coming on. Is there anything you wanna say about yourself? I have a cat and a dog, that’s all. Nice. Yep, yeah. Cat and a dog. Are they friendly? Two. Are they friendly to each other? They’re very friendly. Except my dog, he’s still a puppy and so he’s in his like teething stage. Ohh. And he loves anything fluffy and my cat is very fluffy. Oh, I see. I see. So, they love each other, but he just wants to always with the cat as- Yeah. It’s always funny to see how puppies and like older cats interact. ‘Cause the older cats are kind of just like carefree, like don’t really care. And then the puppy’s just so energetic and interested- He’s so excited and my cat is like get away from me. Stop. My dog is so excited and it’s like, “okay, you guys need to separate for a little.” That’s so funny. I never had cats when I was a kid. My grandma had cats, but she had one cat that was really mean. His name was Chester and we called him Chester Peeve. ‘Cause he- He was mean. Yeah, well was a rescue cat and so I can’t blame him. And I was a stupid little kid. I was the little puppy that was so interested and wanted to hang out with the cat and Chester used to scratch me because you know, he was an old guy and he just wanted to chill. Right. So then growing up, I was always like, “oh no I hate cats, Chester’s so mean.” And now I love cats. You know? You have to love cats. Yeah, I know. I’ve met some really nice cats. My girlfriend has two cats who I love. She has two cats. I’m so jealous. She has two cats. One of them is named Fiona and she is a chonker, like one the largest cats. Really? I wish I could just pull up my phone and show you a photo I need to see this cat. because Fiona just like sits. She’s one of those cats that will like sit like a human. And it is just the funniest thing ’cause you just- And she’s just huge? Yeah, huge, huge. Just a total loaf, but such a sweet cat. I like cats now, but definitely growing up I was a dog kid. But I love ’em both, I think there’s room for all animals. I agree. You know? And I get it. ‘Cause I think if it’s somebody else’s cat, it’s hard to understand that when it’s somebody else’s cat, you’re like, “okay, get away from me, stop.” when you have your own cat and you’re with a cat 24/7, you know their personality and you actually develop a relationship. If you don’t know the cat they can be like- Yeah, a little standoffish sometimes. Yeah. For sure. I actually have a pet snake. Shut up. Shut up, I know, I know. His name is Meatloaf. Really? Yeah, he’s a ball Python Meatloaf. and it’s like the greatest pet for me. One because my apartment doesn’t allow pets. Yeah. Like dogs or cats pets. But a snake. So I was like, I can get a snake. And all he does is sit there and chill. Right. He doesn’t do anything. I have to check on him once a week, but I don’t even have to like do anything. And then if I wanna hang out with him, I just take him out of the tank and then he just hangs on me like a tree. So how do you hang out with a snake? Or do they have personalities at all? Like how does- Some do, yeah. Well we actually have a snake here at work, a company snake. No way. His name is Craig, But my snake is a little bit more timid. So he’s a little bit shy, so I don’t take him out as much. But literally, if I wanna hang out, I just take him out and then I just will put him around my neck, or on my arm or something and he just hangs there. And you’re like, “yeah, I have a snake.” That is so cool. He just hangs there. Sometimes I’ll play video games with him. I’ll just be sitting on my computer and he’s just- And he’s just watching your video games. Yeah, we game together. It’s cool, or whatever. Just me and my snake like to game together. Yeah, or whatever. Are there any pets that you wish you had? I wish I had tons of cats. But my boyfriend is a dog person. So it’s like, I have my cat and he was like, “we’re getting a dog now.” So now it’s like, we have to. But in my book, I’m like, I want a million cats. I love animals. I do too. Fluffy animals. I’m not gonna lie, snakes freak me out. Like I’m scared of lizards, I’m scared of snakes. I’m scared of- Yeah. I actually used to be scared of snakes too. Really? And then we had the snake at work, Craig. And he’s the most chill snake ever. Like he just hangs on you. And so one time he was out and I hung out with him for a bit and I was like, “oh my God, I want this.” Like, maybe snakes are cool. Yeah, maybe snakes are cool. ‘Cause I wanted a pet. I wanted, you know, companionship, in my home. That’s me, I want my animals. Yeah, I wanted someone to hang out with. But then I was just like, “I work, you know, like nine hours a day.” Right. I’m outta the apartment. I go in into the studio, I don’t want to, you know, not be able to take care of something. No, exactly. So you have to have a pet that you can, you know, snakes can be alone for a long time. Forever, I can just leave for week and he’s fine. He’s fine. He just sits there. Oh my gosh. How often do they eat? It depends actually. So older snakes, I know, let me get out of my little- No, go ahead. So older snakes sometimes, ‘Cause I got him when he was a baby. And so he eats around like once a week, usually generally, but he can go- Once a week. Yeah, once a week I feed him. And then he can go a long time without eating. Some older snakes, I know when they are in their, wait, when they wanna mate, some snakes will go like a year without eating. Like they just won’t eat for a year and they don’t. How? As long as they’re not losing weight, it’s okay. I don’t know, I don’t know much about snakes. They have weird looking penises, But yeah, they could just go forever without eating. So if I want to go home for like a week to visit my family or whatever, it’s like- That’s so great. Yeah, I just feed him before I go and then he’s fine. And he’s cool. That’s the only thing with dogs. I love dogs, don’t get me wrong. I love my dog, but cats you can leave cats a little bit. Like if I have to leave for a day, or like eight hours, you know, it’s like, okay, I know my cat will, dogs are just, it’s constant with this animal. Yeah, you have to give them lots of attention. And snakes are like even more. Wow, how do you even how you travel with a snake? I don’t know, I haven’t tried to travel yet. I’d probably just sneak him in my jacket, you know? Like on the plane. You’re coming with me. Little snakes on a plane. Yeah. No, I haven’t even thought about that. I think usually what you do, is you like put ’em in a box. You get like a cardboard box. It’s not their tank. Like put paper towels in it and then they just sit in there. They just sit? They just sit. They just sit, they’re really chill. Right, but you have a friend. It’s like, if you wanna get up and talk to someone one day, it’s like, “hey snake, let’s talk.” But then you can just leave him there for a week and he does his own thing. That’s the coolest thing. Yeah, I talk to him. I talk to him all the time. I’ll be playing video games, I’ll look over, he’ll be peeking his head out and I call him Meat. Yeah, Meaters McLoaf. It’s one of my nicknames for him, one of my nicknames, Meaters McLoaf. Meaters McLoaf. Oh man, that’s so funny. So you’re in a horror movie coming out. I am in a horror movie. Make it the switch up. You’re in a horror movie coming out. Yes. I’m excited to see. It’s called Oracle, right? Oracle, yes. It was really fun to film. We filmed it, where die we film? New Orleans. New Orleans, that’s fun. Yes. And that was really cool. And the food there is fantastic. Yes, the food in New Orleans is insane. It’s so good. And then filming a horror film in general is just so much fun because the scary woman who plays this ghost of the house or whatever, seeing the prosthetics every day and the makeup. And then I had to get blood on me at one point. All these like crazy horror films are weird and fun. Yeah, I used to be so scared of horror movies. Like I couldn’t- Really? When I was a kid, I remember I overheard my parents explaining the plot of Paranormal Activity to me and I couldn’t sleep. I was like, “I can’t. Oh, that’s so scary.” I couldn’t even watch Van Helsing. I don’t know what that is. What’s Van Helsing? It’s a vampire movie. You haven’t seen van Helsing? No. Oh my God. Ariel, we’ve gotta watch it. Date night movie, classic vampire flick. It’s so good. Really? Yeah, it’s amazing. I love it now, but when I was a kid, it was so scary to me. Paranormal Activity, when I was little, was terrifying because of the way it’s filmed on like, they film it like, I don’t know, like a real- Yeah, like security cameras or whatever, like the house cameras, yeah. So that one, when I was little, I was like, “oh, this is actually, this is real. This could actually happen.” It didn’t feel like overly produced at all. We’re just in there with them. It felt like a documentary to me when I was like 11. Yeah, no for sure. I actually, I didn’t like horror movies. And then there was a girl when I was in like the seventh grade that I had a crush on. Yeah. Her name’s Kathleen. Shout out Kathleen, still friends this day. Hey Kathleen. Hey Kathleen. I had a huge crush on her and she liked horror movies. And so I was like, well I gotta put myself through the pain because you know what horror movies means, it means she’s scared and cuddling. Cuddling right. And that was like my move. I was like, come over, we’ll watch any horror, I remember watching The Grudge for the first time and I was just shivering, but I was like, “I get to cuddle with the girl I like, this is the best.” She’s like this is not scary. Yeah. It’s funny ’cause my dad was the same way when he was younger. My mom loves scary movies and my dad was so terrified and he told me the story of when they went to see An American Werewolf in London, in the theaters, which is like the cheesiest movie now. I love it, I think it’s great. But like my dad just being terrified in the theater, watching An American Werewolf- And your mom’s like, “sweetie, it’s fine.” Yeah, like come on. Yeah, my dad was a huge baby. He didn’t like roller coasters and my mom had to get in the roller coasters. Yeah, my dad, huge baby. So I guess that’s where I get it from. That’s where you get your fear of horror movies from. Oh my God. Since I was little, I think I liked horror movies, but some absolutely freak me out. The Conjuring was really scary to me. Yeah. Were you ever scared on set? Or was it just so produced that it felt like it wasn’t real. We filmed in this three story home for a majority of it and it was scary to me. Yeah. That’s the one thing, in real life I freak out. Like I can’t. Yeah. So, we’d be filming on the first floor and then there was like two more stories and this attic. And so like if we had nothing to do, or if I wasn’t in a scene, I’d go walk upstairs. And if I had to pee or something, you have to go to the bathroom by yourself. And you have to walk like two flights up to some bathroom in the attic. And that was what really freaked me out. Being there was scary. Interesting. I love haunted houses and stuff like that. Me too. I grew up in Idaho. And so in Idaho, there’s just a ton of empty space. And I live in like Boise, Meridian area, so there’s like city, but then you drive 20 minutes out and you’re in farmlands. And so, growing up so many haunted corn mazes, stuff like that. And then just these huge elaborate haunted houses. So I love that stuff. That’s so fun. Yeah, my girlfriend’s like super freaked out. We actually went to the LA Haunted Hayride, which they have stuff like that. I wanna go so badly. Yeah, it was so much fun. It was a ton of fun. And so we went and did that and she was so scared. And the whole time Was it scary? I was just like, “this is the best.” No, I mean it depends. If you get scared by that stuff, then yeah. To her it was. Yeah, to her it was. To her, she was getting freaked out. But then I was being the a-hole, trying to scare her, like grabbing her while we’re walking around a corner. You’re terrible. Yeah, I know. This poor girl. I know, poor girl. Sorry Destiny. Yeah, sorry Destiny. Sorry Destiny. That’s so funny. What’s it called? Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. Halloween Horror Nights, I haven’t been. So I’ve lived in LA for, God, like four years now, I think. And I just haven’t had the opportunity to go yet, but I want to so bad ’cause it sounds like it’s just my thing. It’s right up my alley, but- Oh, it’s so fun. And honestly, I went like four years ago. So at the time, it was super scary to me. What I love is, I’m from Florida and now I live- Yeah. But I’m from Florida, so we went to the one in Orlando and that one was really scary when I was younger. But they shut down the entire park at night, like the entire night. And everywhere you walk, there’s just like these creatures. And- Oh I love it. I remember I went for like, what was it? I think it was the year of The Purge and you would just be standing, watching like a concert or something, or somebody, a shell. I remember I turned and there was this Purge girl that was right behind me with a knife. And she screamed in my face. Ohh, I love it. So everywhere you go, it’s so scary. You would like it. Yeah, I would love it, I’m sure. I want to go. I wanna go for sure. So you’ve done also some acting in Disney stuff, correct? Yes. Okay, I have a very serious question, very important. It’s on everyone’s mind. Mm-hmm. How awkward is it to do the Disney ears? Disney ears. Oh my God. When you’re =doing the little waving like- Okay, what’s really funny is they, what’s it called? How do you even explain? So I’m in Z-O-M-B-I-E-S and there’s the cast, there’s 1520 of us. So we have like three days of press and doing the wand IDs and interviews, and all that stuff. And the wand ID they have to get like 20 of us in, so it’s basically, you walk in, it’s like this white screen and there’s no actual line to follow. There’s like three dots. Just freehand it Yeah, they give you like two dots and they’re like, “okay, this dot, to this dot, to this dot.” And you do it and it’s like, “no, okay again.” “This dot goes up, now again. Okay.” And then you have like 10 minutes ’cause they have to get all of us in there. Yeah. So it’s like, you have to just do your best. And they’re like, “okay, now say this da, da, da, da and you’re done.” It’s actually pretty like, you have to go so fast and there’s people talking to you that they make it easier, but it is really awkward. That’s so funny, ’cause I feel like we’ve all seen the videos of when people trace the actual line that the people do. And it’s just so funny. And I’ve practiced it. I see those videos, I’m like, “I feel like it can’t be that hard.” And then I start going to do it, I’m like, “I don’t get it.” That’s the weirdest thing, when you’re actually doing it. Love you Disney, but they don’t give you the actual line, it’s just they’re like, “okay, maybe go to the end of that camera right there and then go here.” So you’re just doing your best, But it’s like they don’t actually give you anything, you know, so it’s hard. There like. “fix it in post.” Right, we’ll just it figure it out later. Yeah, that’s so funny. So, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3 is coming out, correct? Yes, yeah. Yeah and you play a werewolf? I play a werewolf, isn’t that weird? It’s called Z-O-M-B-I-E-S. That’s freaking sick. That’s like so cool. The first Z-O-M-B-I-E-S, it was like humans and zombies. And so there’s like three main cast zombies. And then with Z-O-M-B-I-E-S two, they added werewolves, then Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3, they’re adding aliens. Which I don’t even know if I could say, but whatever. Aliens. Oh wow. Ooh insider info. They just keep adding all these creatures. But yeah, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2 is when I got introduced, I played a werewolf, which really was like the coolest thing. Yeah. Did you have to like put on a bunch of hair? Like hairy costume? There’s me, Chandler and Pearce and we play the three new werewolves. And we each have like very distinct costumes. And for me, I had this vest with like a ton of fur on it and each werewolf has to have a white strand of hair, ’cause that’s like, I don’t even know why we have. We always have a white strand of hair in our hair. Creative choice. Right. And so it’s like we had to add like a ton of hair right here and I have two little buns on my hair, but I have this white hair. It’s really cool. Yeah. What do you do to get prepped for acting like a werewolf? Is there any like ritual that you go through, where you like reach your inner dog? Yes, actually. Yeah? Well, my character, she’s very, how do you explain? So there’s three of us, and each group there’s kind of like, so Chandler is like the head alpha werewolf and then Pearce is the boy and like the cute one. And it’s like- Yeah. And then there’s me and I play kind of like this comedic relief I’m like they’re younger, annoying sister. So I speak really weird and I talk, I don’t know, I’m just a weird character. I’m just a weirdo. I’m just a strange girl. And so I go back to like, there’s a few lines that I have that kind gets me like into the character. And I repeat those lines over and over and then it kind of just gets me into the voice. ‘Cause I have a voice that I put on and it’s so weird. That’s so funny. Let me talk about my acting career. No please, I love acting. No. so I just did a lot of theater in high school, however comma, I went to a very small private school in Idaho. And so our theater department was at any time, anywhere from like 5 to 12 people. So we’d do these productions, but my senior year we did the Tempest, which I was like, “why are we doing the Tempest?” Cause like, that’s like this big- What is, I’m so bad at theater. No, that’s okay. It was like, Shakespeare’s big metaphorical, last play that he wrote. And it was like this allegory for his life, but it’s this really not great story. It’s kind of boring, except for there’s these three characters that are comic relief and it’s Trinculo, Caliban and Stephano. So Trinculo, who I played, was this court jester. Yeah. Stephano was the Butler and then Caliban was like the sea monster. And kind of like throughout the whole show, you have this story happening on the other side of this island, that’s like the serious story. And then it just cuts to these three guys being idiots. Yes. And it was the most fun thing ever ’cause for whatever reason, I just decided that I wanted to do this really terrible like Mike Myers’s Scottish accent for this jester. And I was just yelling and I went to a Christian school and so like we were drunk, but we couldn’t actually say that explicitly that we were drunk, but we were carrying around bottles, pretending to be drunk, just like yelling. I ended up, we did this bit where like, ’cause the other characters in the show, a lot of them had swords. And so we nabbed one of their sword belts and instead of putting a sword in it, we put a prop pickle in it. So we just had this like prop pickle and we whipped it out, whipped out these prop pickles. And then we lost, there was this one part of the show, where we had to like jump off the stage and run out the back of the auditorium. No,- And we lost our prop pickle No. when we were running. And so we had to like go down through the bottom floor of the school to come back up on the other side of the auditorium to get back. We went to the teacher’s lounge, found a jar of pickles, like for whatever reason, just in the teacher’s lounge fridge. You have pickles right now? Oh my God. I love pickles. I love pickles, so much. I love pickles. Pickles are so good. I love Grillo’s. Anyway, that’s a whole ‘nother story. So we found this jar pickles in there, these whole long dill pickles. And so we ended up just getting a real pickle and then for like the final scene, we’re just like munching on this pickle together as we’re like exhausted from running away from, anyway, it was just so much fun to be an idiot. It’s so fun. Being the comedic relief when they’re all so serious and I come in and I say the stupidest thing possible, it’s so great. ‘Cause like part of me, it was my senior year, and I was like, “ah, I wanna be like the Prince Charming.” I don’t even remember his name him from The Tempest. But I was like, “I kind of wanna be the Prince Charming, handsome, you know, main character guy. And then my director’s like Trevor, “I feel like you’d have more fun and you’d be really funny if you did this instead.” And I was like, “ah right, why not?” And it was just the most fun thing ever. That is so great. Theater is so, I wish I got into theater. Like I never did, I was always way too scared. Like I’m definitely more of like film is better for me when there’s a camera. But the energy you probably get on stage with people laughing at you, I don’t know. It’s so fun. Oh yeah, it was so funny. Just like whenever you do something stupid, or say a stupid joke. And just, everything is just like, you just crank the dial to a hundred. Right. ‘Cause you’re just like- Yeah, you can’t have enough energy. Like, especially when you’re comic relief, playing this boisterous idiot character and you just crank everything So fun. to a thousand and then just be flamboyantly crazy. That’s so great. People laugh. I don’t know, it’s a great feeling. But yeah, no, I definitely loved theater in high school. I wish I did more, you know. So I moved to LA to go to culinary school actually. Oh, wow. Yeah and so that is my day job per se. We have a channel called Mythical Kitchen, if you wanna check it out. I do a little cooking over there everyone. I do a little cooking over there. Go watch Mythical Kitchen. But it was kind of when I moved to LA, I was like, “well, you know, I’ll do the culinary school thing, but also, you know, it being Los Angeles, like why not?” And then here I am now in the entertainment world and I’m like, “get to do both.” And it’s so fun. That is so cool. Well yeah, ’cause you cook with Good Mythical Morning too right? Yeah, yeah. So, we cook all the food for GMM and then they also bring me on sometimes to just be an idiot on GMM too, which is great. Like- You get to combing both of your worlds and do everything that you love. That’s so awesome. We actually had an episode that we released like last month, where Tony Hawk came on the show and I just got to skate really badly in front of Tony Hawk. It was the funniest thing. I just made a fool myself. They were like, “we want you to play this Gen Z skater character.” Totally. “But you’re really bad at skating.” And I was like, “well, that works out ’cause I don’t know how to skate.” And so I just- You’re like, “I am actually bad at that.” Yeah, I’m really bad. I won’t have to act that hard. And I just did some of the most awful made up skating tricks in front of Tony Hawk. And he just looked so disappointed, but it was so funny. Was he laughing at you or was he like, “oh God, this kid is just-” Yeah, he was laughing at me. I mean, he’s a great guy. I think he took it all in good spirit and it was fun. But like before we went out, I told him, I think what I said was, I was like, “Tony Hawk, I’m oh sorry. I promise I’m not intentionally trying to make a mockery of your life’s work right now. ‘Cause I’m about to go look like a fool and I hope, you know, it’s not personal. It’s me. It’s not, you it’s me.” He’s like fine, whatever. Yeah. He’s cool guy though. But your mom did a lot of theater acting, right? She did a lot of theater acting, yes. Yeah. And then she had kids and we ruined everything. Oh no, you didn’t ruin everything. Stop it. We ruined everything. Well, she had to choose. She was like, you know, “what do I do? Am I there for my kid’s life, or you know.” Yeah. Theater, it’s demanding. Like she did a lot, I guess it was traveling. But, I think she traveled a lot for theater and like went to New York and did theater. And so it was kind of like, it was a huge part of her life. But she’s best, ’cause she’s able to, after this actually, I got like two auditions dud tomorrow and she helps me, coaches me- Yeah. So like- That’s awesome. You know, we’re gonna sit down and like run and run it and do it. But yeah, she did a lot of theater. I really wanna wanna watch more theater, ’cause I haven’t. Yeah do you have like a favorite musical, or production, or anything. I’ve seen, what’s it called? With Glenda. Wicked. Wicked. Phenomenal, phenomenal musical. One of my favorites of all time too. Oh, it’s excellent. I love it, but that’s the only one. I haven’t been to New York either, as much as I should. Yeah. And haven’t been able to really experience theater in that way. Yeah, I get that totally. I mean, that was me growing up in Idaho. Like we never had big productions come, so I’ve seen like a lot of like smaller stuff. But now that I’m in LA, I’ve wanted to see more productions and more musicals, but then COVID happened. And I actually had tickets to see “The Book of Mormon” at the Pantages and the day that everything shut down for COVID in 2020 was the day that I was supposed to see it. So, if I’d gone a day earlier, I would’ve been able to go see it. No. And then I was so sad because it’s- Have you seen it? It’s one of my favorite. I haven’t. ‘Cause I watch bootlegs sometimes, when I really wanna see something, but that was one where it was my favorite and I was like, “I’m not gonna soil this. I’m gonna wait until I can see it in all of its glory.” And then it got shut down and I was so sad. Oh my God, that’s terrible. The day. It’s not even like the day after. The day. The day. The day. I was getting so excited. You jinxed it, is what happened. But alas, I will see it in the future. I made that promise to myself. I’m dying to see Book of Mormon. Yeah. That’s like, I think I don’t know much., It’s so funny. but that one looks hysterical. Yeah and there’s also something about growing up in Idaho, like where there’s a lot of Mormon people. And I knew it, I had a ton of Mormon friends growing up. Like it just like hits a little close to home. I’m like, I know this, this is so funny. You have to see it. Yeah. Is your mom the person that kind of inspired you to get into acting. Yeah growing up, so my dad was a musician and he studied film in school and then my mom, she acted. So my whole world was kind of like “take piano lessons and-” Yeah, yeah. You know, practice singing. My mom had tons of books of these plays that she did in school and monologues. And so my brother and I would just sit there and read them and go through them together. And it was just kind of what we did as a family for fun ’cause that’s where my parents came from kinda thing. So- For sure. And then when I started social media, it was like I had this love of acting and love of music and I was like, “okay, I wanna continue on social media, but find a way to really like branch out and get into acting also because of this.” And so yeah. Yeah, you kinda have a hang on everything. Since I was little it was just always a part of my life. Yeah, that’s awesome. That’s so cool. So, I’m gonna gas you up a little bit here. You were Time Magazine’s 2018 internet influencer of the year. Something like that, I don’t even know what it was. Something like that. I’m sorry, I probably botched that. Regardless- No, I don’t even know what it is. But yes. Recognized worldwide. By Time. By Time Magazine. So how does that even work? Did they just like send you an email or what was the? I don’t know. I think I just saw the article and I was like, “oh.” Like- You just saw. They didn’t even reach out. No, it was just like, “oh, that’s really cool.” ‘Cause yeah. Oh my God. I had no idea, I had no idea. And I think it was Times like most influential people, or something for the year. And so it was like 20 kids under this age and I just was scrolling fun, fun. And then there I was like, “Oh that’s me.” Oh. That’s so awesome. That is so funny. Oh my gosh. Yeah, it was weird. What was it like writing a book at 18? That was really something. It was a really, really therapeutic experience. Yeah. So, I’ve always been a journaler, or a writer. Yeah. Like I need to get my thoughts out there in any way that I can. Yeah. And I had this idea for a book, where I would kind of, you know, take the things I’ve journaled about and like stories I’ve gone through and advice that I can give and put them into, categorizing them into like the colors of the rainbow. So like red would be all of my love/romance stories. Yeah. Orange would be the da, da. And so I got to get, not got together, but I paired up with this writer and who is like a ghost writer. So would kinda guide me along through the whole process. And we’d spend hours talking on the phone and I’d write essays for her and send them over her. And because she’s a writer, she did a great job at like Yeah. you know, putting them into book formation, making it good. Compiling all the thoughts, yeah. Right, exactly. Yeah. But it was a really therapeutic experience ’cause I got to go through, like I got to read, I got talk to talk about just a bunch of things that made sad, happy and really let out a ton while writing. Yeah, that’s awesome. What was, you’re always writing or English literature, was that like your favorite subject in school? Oh totally. I loved like narrative essays when I was in elementary school and middle school. And just being able to create a story and create characters and all this background to these people. I think that’s why I also love acting. It’s not just, you know, what it is. It’s like, “okay, this character has been through X, Y, Z and how can I bring this person to life? So yeah, writing was always my favorite. I was totally the same way. I was like, writing, it just like came naturally to me, I guess. Me too. I could not like math. Science, I hated, I freaking every time I had to struggle through that. And then it was like writing, like the words just kind of flowed out onto the paper. And I loved doing creative writing, writing stories, I love doing even essays, like research topics. Like, I don’t know, there’s just something about it. So, I totally get that. And I still, I try and write sometimes. And then I feel like I’ve gotten dumber since high school. After I stopped actively trying to become smarter, or learning things, I’m like, “ah, man.” I just feel like an idiot sometimes. Me too. I’ve been trying to write screenplays and you know, I wrote a pilot. But then I’ll go and read. I’ll read mine like, “this is okay. This feels like, you’re getting somewhere. This is good.” And I go and read like a Quentin Tarantino screenplay and it’s like, “I am dumb.” The way he’s able to describe these. And the dialogue. I’m like, Yeah. I’m the same. Yeah, no, I totally, I’m just like, I’ll start talking and I’ll say a word and I’m like that wasn’t even a sentence. That wasn’t anywhere close to a sentence. I used to be in AP classes I used to like, I got a five on my AP language exam and now I can’t even speak English. Speak. What are you gonna do? It happens. It’s LA. Yeah, it’s LA. We’re entertainers. We don’t have to be smart. No. Oh my gosh, that’s so funny. So Lucky Charms are your favorite cereal. Yes. Yeah, I did a deep dive. I know lots of facts. Yeah. So why is it that Lucky Charms are your favorite cereal, when the only good thing about them is the marshmallows? Well, that’s the thing, is I really only eat the marshmallows. You’re like, you’re like me as a six-year-old. My family would be so mad at me ’cause we’d have a box of Lucky CharmS and I would go through and I would pick out every single marshmallow, No that’s me to this day. It’s you to this day. See, I just don’t buy ’em anymore. ‘Cause I’m not gonna eat that cereal, whatever that grain crap is. That’s my boyfriend’s favorite cereal. So he buys Lucky Charms and he has to hide them from me and he’ll go to work or something and then he’ll come home and I took out all the marshmallows. You sniffed out all the marshmallows. He pours and it’s like, “Ariel, where are?” And I can’t help myself. That is so funny. Oh my gosh. I’m a Cinnamon Toast Crunch guy now. I’m a big- Really? I also have Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I don’t know why, I got a big sweet tooth. So I went to me school for pastry and baking. So like baking is my, is my ish. Right. And I love sweets. On the days that I eat breakfast, which is few and far between, I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. And I eat it dry, no milk. No, yeah. I just go raw. And so you just taste all the sugary- Yeah, I just want sugar and cinnamon in my mouth. I’m the same. I have this, it’s so bad, I have this tub of frosting that I bought. Yeah. And I just sit there, Tub of frosting? with a spoon. Frosting is like my bane, it’s funny you say it. ‘Cause when I was in culinary school, we were going through like a whole cake section of our curriculum. I don’t know. But we would just make these gigantic like 10 quart, batches of buttercream. Yep. Just because we all were using it. And then we would just take from the same batch. And my best friend, Eric, whom I love, he would have to physically restrain me ’cause I would just eat the buttercream with a spoon until I was physically sick. No, yeah. Until I was physically sick, I would just eat frosting and eat frosting and eat frosting. I couldn’t stop myself. And I still can’t. I can’t bake a cake without making myself sick. Me too, like making brownies. Making brownies, making cookies, it’s all just, I eat it raw. I have no self control. Me neither. I have no self control. It’s time for a very special part of the show. Okay. Very, very special. I hope you’ve prepared. I think I know what you’re about to say and I’m so nervous. Oh, you know what I’m about to say, this is a very special segment of the show that we like to call Who Ever Smelt It. So Whoever Smelt It, I’m gonna ask you, what is the most embarrassing place, or situation where you’ve ever accidentally let one rip? Oh my God. I don’t- Had a little toot. Honestly, when you guys sent me, I was like, “I don’t know,” I really, honestly it’s- Oh my goodness. I think school, honestly. Oh, you know what? I’ll tell you. Okay. Okay. It’s not really, I won’t go into so much detail. Yeah. But I think on set of Z-O-M-B-I-E-S, Yeah. it was not the second one, it was the third one. And I was like, I remember my stomach was just killing me, I was like, “I have to go to the bathroom.” And I asked my friend Terry, I was like, “is it possible to like go in trailers?” And they were like, “Ariel, yes.” So you know, I was like, the whole Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2 I didn’t. That’d be the only story that I can remember. Yeah. And your trailers are connected to like, , your connect to like three trailers. It’s just terrifying ’cause I’m like, “if I go use the restroom and their trailer starts stinking it probably- Yeah. Oh, that’s like, I can’t. I’m so poop shy, I can’t poop in public. No, me neither. Yeah, I can’t do it. Mm-mm. Even like at my girlfriend’s house I struggle with it ’cause I’m like, I don’t know what it is, I got my Poo-Pourri at home. I got my own private bathroom and I just feel great about I can go in there, I can relax and not worry about it. But anywhere else, I’m just like Anywhere else, no. I can’t do it. I can’t do. I’m exactly the same, where I just can’t. I remember when my boyfriend started like, now we live together, so it’s different, but it’s when he started like sleeping over and stuff like that. Like I’m not to the bathroom. I will hold it in for four days. Yeah, that’s like the best part when you reach that level of comfortability where you can just like, not worry about that. Like, I’ll just be like laying in bed with my girlfriend. and we’re like watching a movie and I just let one rip and I don’t even care. And it’s just like- That was probably the worst, like when I’ve been most aware of it, when he would sleep over. Like we’d be together and it’s like, “okay, when’s the first time that it’s like I’m going, you know you just have to-” It was like an event, like when am I gonna do it? When is this gonna happen? When is it gonna happen, when are we gonna reach that next level? I know. I think we’re actually about wrapping up. We’ve been talking for like 40 minutes. Oh my God, look at us go. But we just, it flew by. I know what? I’m down to go for another couple hours if you what? Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep going, let’s keep going. Well I mean, so can I add you to my list, can we be friends? Can I add you as a contact? Please. Can we be friends? Can we please be friends? Let’s be friends. I’d love to be friends. We can go see Book of Mormon. Yeah, let’s go see The Book of Mormon. Oh my God, that would be the best. I would love to go see The Book of Mormon when they’re back around. That’s awesome. I’m glad we can be friends. That makes me very happy. Yes, please. Plug yourself. Tell people where they can find you. Tell people what to watch? Just go all out. Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3 should be coming out this year. Should. Yeah. Oracle should be too. Yeah. Maybe. Yeah, those should be coming out. Something here, this other thing I just did, should also be coming out this year too. Yeah. And then you could follow me everywhere @BABYARIEL. B-A-B-Y-A-R-I-E-L Baby Ariel. She’s an amazing person, you should go follow her to keep up with her. She’s amazing. Jamie, how do you think it went? Do you think she liked me? You know, I thought you might have lost her at the farting in public, for a second there. Yeah. But then, you know, she went off on that rant about pooping in public. And so I do feel like you guys might actually go and see The Book of Mormon. Yeah, I think so. I mean, yeah. I can see how the fart question might have thrown her off a little bit, but she brought it back. And yeah, she seemed pretty comfortable talking about pooping in public, which I think is a thing that everyone should talk about. But yeah. I mean, I think it went pretty well. I’d love to go see The Book of Mormon. Yeah, I mean, at least, at least she will, I feel like return your DMs on Twitter, or on Instagram, if you do send her that picture of yourself in a dress. Yeah, I think she will. She might like do a little react emoji maybe. Yeah. Yeah. Which is like, kind of sussy, but you know, what are you gonna do? I mean, I think she seemed like she liked me. She seemed like she wanted to be friends, so that’s cool. Yeah. I’ll have to go check and see if she follows me back on the socials, on Instagram. But we’ll see. I think it went well. I had a good time, I think she’s great. Yeah, I mean, it would be cool if she did a return follow since she’s got so many followers herself. I know, that’s like free clout. Like having someone follow you, that’s got like 10 million followers. I’m like, yeah, no big deal. No big deal, Baby Ariel follows me. I’m gonna go brag to all my friends later tonight, so.
