MB 57: We Tried Breaking A World Record

A while back Mythical Chef Josh went off and broke a world record for eating the most amount of baby food in a minute. So, you know what we’re gonna do? We’re gonna break the fricking world record for the fastest mile on three legs. Three legs, two guys, Two guys, one world record. One world record. ‐ Okay we’re strapped in. ‐ We have mapped out a one mile route, or route, whatever you prefer, wherever you’re from, around the park. And we have not practiced ’cause, who needs to practice to get a world record? Not us. Maybe Josh. Which leg first? Left, inner leg first. Ready, set. Go! Okay you got to kind of get- Oh yeah that’s a nice rhythm. Get that, get that arm moving. It’s not natural. The way that my arms moving. My headband. Look what it’s doing. ‐ Look at his headband Alright speed up. Yeah we’re in the shade, go fast in the shade. ‐ Let’s just walk just a little bit It’s longer than we thought. ‐ Are we done? ‐ We can do this. ‐ We’re not going too fast. Slow and steady sets the world record. A little bit harder. We needed to be the same side. You’re too tall. In, out. In, out. In, out. Go through the finish line fast. Only two more to go. What? ‐ What? Two more laps. That’s not it? That was a third of a mile. I feel like I need to be on the other side. Alright. Let’s switch. You’re on the other side now. This is not what I meant. This is good, this is a whole different set of muscles. This is easy. ‐ Whole different set of muscles. Sync. Sync. Link. Link. Sync. Sync. Link. Link. Sync. Sync. Yeah going backwards makes you feel like It’s almost over. You’re doing something. You’re really stepping on my foot. It really hurt. You’ve been really stepping on my foot earlier. Hey you know what? The competition hasn’t lasted. That’s right. You ever been to this park? No. I didn’t even know it was here. There’s so many beautiful parks. In, out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Positive, positive! Stay positive. Be free. Be a gazello Be a gazelle that’s tied to another gazelle. Man, two Gazelles tied together would be, just a double cheeseburger. I think you’re doing great. You carrying your buddy. Rich you’re doing great. You carrying your weight. Link is doing great. He’s carrying breast weight. Final stretch. Put up the finish line. Yeah. We can do the math. We’ll work it out in our head. Finish strong. Finish strong. We gotta look good at the end. Arms up! ‐ Three laps equals a mile. We just did two laps and now we’re gonna do the math. So it was 12:45. 12 minutes, 45 seconds for two laps. Let’s round down to 12. That’s like a six minute for a third mile. So maybe we would have gotten like 18 minutes, if we had done the next one. We probably would have done it faster. So let’s just say we would have done 18 minutes. What’s the world record? Six minutes and 52 seconds. Six minutes and 52 seconds. Well, you got to divide 18 by two because there’s two of us, which brings us to nine. Plus height differential means that I get mine reduced probably like 5:48. Yeah and I’m sure the guys who did it were younger and I mean we’re in our forties. So that’s probably like, there’s probably at least two or three minutes. So I’m going to say 6 minutes, 30 seconds. Or we won the elder division. We did it. The senior tour. Get your leg off my leg, man. I’m tired of this.
